He's got talent but I don't think he'd cut it in the Premiership

As I said before Jon, I don't think he'll cut it in the Premier. He struggled a bit with Gillingham in the Chumpionship. But I could be wrong (and I hope I am if he signs).

Sounds like another cover player. £250k + cheap wages for a player who may be able to do a job if the first choices get injured as well as possibly improving himself. Maybe worth a punt.

just what i was going to say. I dont believe he can cut the grade of the premiership, however if we get him he'll probably be cover. Probably ahead of macca and jarret, but behin boozer and Smith in the pecking order?

Ahead of Macca? Macca's been doing very well at the moment.

With Macca, Bouazza and Smith already I reckon we only need one more, top-quality, right-winger to complete the picture, such as McAnuff (or Routledge?).

He could be a Macca MK.II, shows brief bursts of talent, then slips into the wilderness for a season and a half.

Don't forget Jarrett. It's one of the reasons I would not want Routledge in a deal with Spurs for Ash - we have other areas we need to strengthen more.

Jamel Campbell Ryce (born 6 April 1983) is a Jamaican professional footballer currently playing for English Championship club Southend United.

Campbell-Ryce played a handful of games for Southend United in the 05/06 season during a loan deal from Rotherham United. However, the deal turned sour, and left him in the limbo so Rotherham recalled him and sent him to local rivals Colchester United to get some first team football. The tricky winger has also played for Charlton Athletic, Chesterfield (loan), Wimbledon (loan), Colchester United (loan) and Leyton Orient (loan).

Campbell-Ryce joinined Southend United in the summer of 2006 after a deal was agreed between Southend and Rotherham.
