Lloyd's contract is up next summer. I don't think it'll be renewed.

Iwelumo will go. Deeney depends on how long before he's out on parole. I've got a feeling the club *might* give him a second chance, possibly if only to sell him.

Yeates is rubbish. I don't care about how many assists he got in the first half of the season. I've got no time for wide midfielders who (1) never beat their man (2) regularly hit the wall with free kicks (3) are too slow to track back or go forward and so just hover in the middle third. About 1 in 4 of his crosses were any good & the arrival of Murray, Kackniklic and Kightley *completely* showed him up.

Think Mingoia will get a look in this season. Assombalonga will go, along with Jenkins, Emu, Thompson, Forsyth and Massey

So do I. Your other suggestions are very plausible, first person to come up with Assombalonga

It would be mad to sell asombalonga as he fits into the 4-3-3 system Zola likes to play. He just needs a season on loan to a league one side. Same as thompson, who IMO is better, or will be better, than hodson.

Thompson has played centre-back at every level other than first team, when we were short at RB and had a lot of cover at centre-back. Can't really be compared to Hodson but yes, I agree, he does have a lot of potential.

We won't seel any of the youngsters in the 1st team squad...don't the Pozzo's like to keep them and see if such players can develop into quality players that can be moved on?

I think a few will go out on loan though.

I doubt many of the youngsters will go, unless we get a decent fee for them; because if we just off load the likes of promising prospects like Thompson and Assombalonga, it would be against what the Pozzo business style is all about!!!

We are more likely to get rid of some of the slightly older young ones who have been knocking around the squad for a few years without really pushing on, the likes Jenkins and possibly Bennett; plus some older ones the likes of Emu and possibly Yeates?

Having said all that, it is hard to say who will go, as GZ has been trying players out in different roles to what we have seen them in the past, so we might be very surprised at who will stay and who will go!!!

Another thing that might happen, is that some of our fringe players might be shipped off to Udinese or Granada to put them in the shop window, with the idea of selling them off at their optimum value, which is what the Pozzo business philosophy is all about!!!

The Pozzos system is to loan players even into their early 20's where our privious module would be loan them at 17 or 18 and get them in the team by 19 or 20. You will see quite a few of our current crop of youngsters go on loan may be for the next two or three yearswork" available.

The plan is to use the "network" that is available to bolster the squad. We have 19 or 20 players who's contracts are up in the next year of which I would expect 5 maybe 6 to have an extention or renewal. In which case we have around 15 players who wil leave naturally rather than be moved on.

GT and Rodgers have both said that it takes 3 or 4 transfer windows to change a squad to what a coach wants it to be
It’s my opinion to which I am entitled. Not everyone is a brain dead sheep who agree with others to be popular.

They are spot on, lots of players leaving next week. You saw quite a few for the last time today, I think some on here will rage with a couple of the departures but you have to remember its for the best in terms of footballing reasons. I think 2 or 3 will join this week too.

I have a sneaky feeling Eustace could be off.

Do you think they will be sold/released or loaned? E.g would we send some of our better first team youngsters to Spain/Italy for experience?
    Where has the time gone...?
