Great swimmer, for sure. The greatest swimmer, in fact.

But how can you compare someone who has 5-10 races to perform with someone in an endurance event, who can only possibly afford one competition per Olympics? Or someone whose event is specialised, or limited by bodyweight etc.

I most admire those rare Olympians who've won medals in multiple disciplines.

I disagree. I think that one of these next generation of swimmers, such as Missy Franklin, will do it within 2-3 Olympics, unless there's someone already closer.
