Or just as good as 37 year old Del Piero?
The latter, in the sense that a top, proven championship player would probably be do the same job on the pitch.

    Oh i get it now..

Mr.Zola was obviously given a copy of Football Manager today and finally realised that you actualy have to get players to sign for the club!

Interesting, and strange, that all five have signed loan deals. Surely that means we wouldn't be allowed any other loan players in the squad?

Also, worth noting that due to the length of the deals agreed, there's a chance that come this time next year none of these players will be with us.

I think we can have some youth loans in or short term loans

Only applies for domestic loans. Or do you mean the match day squad?

    Let's be realistic here.

Out of the 7 that have signed, only 3 or 4 will be regulars.

Excellent. It was a bold statement to make and thought you should have the chance to qualify it

What is does give us a really good SQUAD. At this time of the year we all enjoy trying to guess the starting X1 for the first match..I've had a go at mine and it includes 4 of the new signings plus room for Smith and a new striker if we sign one. But teams change and evolve over a season, some players will disappoint and others will surprise us. What I'm excited about this year is, even allowing for one or two departures, we really seem to have a decent squad to get us through what is a very long season. We will even have competition for the extra places on the bench this year, something we didn't always have last season.

This is EXCELLENT!!! Now, with Smithy hopefully on his way back, it's really starting to look bright.
Boy, some of last season's regulars must be getting nervy!

This is pretty impressive , and you have to think , quite hard to beleive its happening to us , not because any of us really know if the players are really any good (though i rate Hall) but more because its just , well , pretty exciting to watch it all develop

The best is yet to come, with other signings to be announced in the coming days, weeks and months. #insiderknowledge

I'd like to see maybe 3/4 more. We were being linked with Kacaniklic, he would be awesome.

My list would be: Del Piero (for his experience and rep), Smith (legend), Kacaniklic (class), Campbell (either Fraizer or DJ, preferably the former to add a bit of firepower up top).

I think we already have a very good looking team, if we get these additions i'm certain we will be there or thereabouts.

I can't see Kacaniklic joining, nor Del Piero
