    Would still be a potential £16M loss if they did sell, which is ridiculous. Mind you it's their own fault, he's worth about £3.5M, let alone £35M

    surley , west ham will get waht they want out of him and send him back after a year , there isnt a law in the land that would MAKE them buy him for 17m next year .......is there ?!

    Nah, as far as I'm aware buyout clauses are entirely optional on loan deals.

    That's what I was trying to say. Overall, a massive loss in such a short space of time but £17M is far above his real value
