If reports are correct, then well done to him.
If Pearce is picking on form on the other hand like he supposedly is... then it's an interesting decision seeing as he's only been a regular for the bench or reserves at Bolton since January!
!!! I WAS THERE WHEN DOYLEY SCORED!!!... the first time...
I don't want to be the one to bring this up, but I'm going to anyway. If Beckham wasn't called up because they wanted to pick the strongest squad possible, how can it possibly be said that someone who made 3 appearances for a relegated Bolton team is going to be the strongest option available?

I'd say that depends on how you'd define 'well'. He's got 2 goals in 7 games, Waghorn has 2 in 3 games, Gary Gardner has 2 in 5 games, even bloody Martin Kelly has 3 goals in 6 and Craig Dawson has 4 in 7... obviously goals aren't everything, but the few times I've seen him for the U21s (albeit only once live) he hasn't been brilliant all round.
Ah well. Nice to see a Watford lad in the team, if the reports are to be believed.

Well done Marvin, good exposure for him
Boooooo money grabbing canut
Watford til I die!
Current watford face:

Well if GB win it's worth at least an OBE to him.
American Tourist on vacation to the UK.
"Excuse me Mam, why did they build Windsor Castle so close to Heathrow"
Probably picking some players will are likely to play and given it their best effort.
I suspect we'll see some Premiership players pull out or even be told by their manager not to put in 100%
Well done to him.
Incidentally I'm hoping the odds on him to be top scorer this year will be generous as he's relatively unknown
How can Pearce pick when he hasn't played for Bolton?

That probably worked in his favour.
I wouldn't pick someone who has played 45-50 games and has either taken an extra-long break or attempted to keep going for twelve months straight. Much better to have someone who had half a good season, and was training to Premier League standard but otherwise well rested for the final months of the season.
Cleverley, Cork, Rose and Sordell all in the squad.
