Clearly they all had one too many Peroni's last night. If it were me, I'd never face the worlds press on a hangover!
If you have any queries relating to the above, please do not hesitate to PM me.

    With kind regards

It `s all about the money...for me it`s high time Bas to prove that he has put EFFECTIVELY 8-10 mil into the club. My simple table for 2011-2012 is: INCOMES: 4-5 mil from matchday, 3-4 from media, 1-2 from merchandising, 8-10 from transfers....COSTS: 8-9 wages, 4-5 others expenses, 2.5 mil to bondholders, 1 mil players acquisition..............and the rest to complete the balance is the "frozen sum" by Bas protecting himself and not paying temporarily his suppliers. I may be wrong anyway...

I'm not so good with the maths (on account of an American Public school education), but that seems a bit like buying a rusted out '91 Ford Fiesta for £300, slipping some old t-shirts over the seat backs, then putting 4 new tires on for £200, installing a new £100 exhaust, then rewiring the main harness for £300 but then thinking the car is worth more than the £300 you paid for it originally.

No matter how much money Bazinga spent on it, the club is only worth what it's worth, right?
Believe it or not, I really WAS there when Doyley scored.

Hopefully they have locked him in the safe until the takeover is completed.

I cannot imagine that any Italian would, voluntarily, touch that bottled fizzy pi$$.

This reminds me of the time, at university, when my best friend (now a prof somewhere) refused to believe that some people she was arguing with were actually French as "...they had never heard of Piat d'Or...".

I suspect that Bassini is threatening to sue if the bondholders excercise their power of sale under the agreement. He may not have a good case (the breach of the agreement may be totally clear), but the Pozzos I would imagine, would not want to proceed until something is resolved with Bassini, so as to remove any possibility of trouble further down the road.

Bassini will hold out for a price, and in the meanwhile his lawyers will have told him to zip it.
This is all pure conjecture on my part, I have no evidence, but that is why, I think, we are having a long wait for news.

Good beer (cold) as is Birra Morreti

Drugs may lead to nowhere, but at least it's the scenic route.

Let's hope the new owners have fitted him with concrete shoes and left him to sleep with the fishes.
    Hysterically negative overreaction!

Just leave via selling to the Pozzo's, Baz, especially if you care for the club like you say in the statement.

    NEWS: OWNER'S STATEMENT
Posted on: Tue 26 Jun 2012

WATFORD owner Laurence Bassini wishes to clarify some recent points in the media regarding his period in charge to date at the club.

Speaking via watfordfc.com, he wishes to reiterate what has been achieved during his time in charge at Vicarage Road.

He said: "I'm aware there have been plenty of rumours regarding myself and the club.

"Since day one I don't think people have given me a chance and I include both people within the club and the media in that category.

"Over the last 15 months or so Watford Football Club has achieved a lot.

"When I arrived at the club it was facing administration and I put in several millions to keep the club going.

"Our current season tickets sales for 2012/13 at this stage of the summer are our highest for a number of years, while on the football side of things the team and management achieved this club's highest league position for five years after we brought in 11 new players to strengthen the squad.

"Work is currently progressing on a new pitch, this will already add to the investment we have made in the stadium since I've been at the club. A new giant screen has been installed, a new PA system is in place while seats have also been replaced.

"The Red Lion, which was a depreciating asset, has been refurbished to provide a home for supporters.

"These are all good positive things for the Football Club and the supporters.

"I do not know why people want to spread rumours about me.

"It is very wrong and I think people have short memories.

"All of the things I mentioned above are positive things for the club. I fail to understand what we have done wrong at the club

    Watford FC owner Laurence Bassini

"I have never taken a penny out of the club and I can prove that on the balance sheet.

"If there have been difficulties recently it is because I have been trying to pay off the bond holders and Barclays Bank.

"Going forward I have protection for the club. In response to press reports I never said I would receive £12million for the club.

"To date, I haven't seen the substantial proof of funds the prospective owners have to run the club going forward, but I understand that the bondholders are satisfied.

"To date, I have not met the Pozzo Family but my representatives have.

"I would like to reiterate how much I care about this Football Club, I don't think people understand that I care what happens to this Club.

"I know there have been people doing things they shouldn't have been doing at the club, they have been found out and have left. Since then they've been spreading rumours about myself."
