I thought I read it was Wed night/early Thursday but I may well be wrong.

Not personally no but having spoken to him on a few occasions and is a lovely bloke. He is a proud Dad to his 3 year old, and he is the one who I feel for the most. You can't judge him like people are doing

As for 'proud dad to his 3 year old son', as soon as I had kids I haven't ****ed about or put myself in situations where I could let them down or miss out on any part of their life.

The quality of player should not come into it. If someone has done wrong then they deserve to be punished accordingly, not by how good at their profession they might be.

Tony Adams regularly went out and got into fights with people and only declared that he was an alcoholic years after he went to prison. As far as we are aware Deeney has only done this sort of thing once.

The last line is quite frankly laughable. If you don't see a clear division between kicking someone on the floor (although obviously a bad thing to do) and raping someone then I genuinely worry for you.

Also, where does it say that the student was unconscious?

Adams was a dick yes, but as already outlined, I am certain he didn't behave like Troy is described to have behaved. Adams is old school and wouldn't have piled in ott with his boys just for ****s and giggles.

I am not saying rape is the same as what Troy has done, I am simply saying both acts are despicable, and not as distanced as you seem so intent to make it appear. Key factors here - defenceles, unconscious, outnumbered. Yet he offered that person more violence? Not sure why you are defending the bloke. If he had given the bloke brain damage would you still sympathise with him? He hasn't had the full sentence and in my opinion he's been lucky with what will most probably be 20 weeks.

Reading the report about this in the Birmingham newspaper, makes Troy in particular sound like a complete and utter ****.
