I bought some Happy Eggs today (and have instructed my wife to do so in the future!!) I think they deserve our support.

I think the Happy Egg people came out of this rather well really..
Not only did they end up with a lot of free advertising they also worked their way into everyones good books by stepping aside gracefully.

    Good eggs!

PS If anyone from the Happy Egg company is reading this you should consider sponsoring Saracens rugby club.. then we could refer to them as the happy egg chasers..

They're not really off though Fitz.. They have been involved with the club for ages and will continue to be so. Actually they have been made into an official partner (whatever that means!) as part of the agreement of them not pursuing the shirt deal.

Will simply allow them to use Watford in advertising. "Officiel Partner of Watford FC!... Can't see what it is really worth to them in any other county but Herts.

The thing is - for a company like that - they are unlikely to get their monies worth from whatever deal was struck. The sponsorship came about because someone from the Eggs is a Watford fan. Now they get more exposure due to the Zola/Pozzo link, probably for a lot less cash. I don't think they get a bad deal from this.

    This from football rumours:

Firstly Kacaniklic will not leave fulham, we will not spend that much money on one player when udinese can offer us better young players. The happy egg company didn't pull out of the deal, the pozzos are negotiating to change their deal to remove their logo from the kit. The pozzo's beleive they can secure udinese kit sponsor on watford kit, as the car company are looking to introduce a new range of cars in england.

Might be bollix, but the stuff about Dacia starting to sell cars in UK is true.
I may be an idiot, Sir, but one thing I am not, Sir, is an idiot.

Anyone remember the happy egg co logo appearing on the back of our shirts a couple of yeas ago? They were extra sponsors for a couple of televised matches - QPR and Pompey I think it was.

I for one didn't mind the happy egg company as a shirt sponsor but in fairness they will get great press from this, I too asked my wife to get happy eggs and will continue to also.

Makes you think what other products you've bought due to our shirt sponsorship as Harris posted, I can remember buying a Blaupunkt car radio years ago

The Dacia brand belongs to Renault, whose UK head office is at Maple Cross.

I work closely with Renault and Dacia and have asked the question.
