We don't have any real rivals ofcourse and always had battles against Palace so its a bit like a mini rivalry...plus we're probably just hacked off you always beat us!

I went yesterday and I thought we were f**king hopeless at the back! Mariappa did ok, Hodson was sh*t as was Doyley, Nosworthy was poor which was surprising as he's normally a rock at the back. what a clown Loach is. How many keepers stand on their line when THEY'VE got a corner!?! One ball over the top from Palarse lands between the penalty area and the half way line and Loach stays put!?! Stand on your 18 yard line you pr*ck. I don't doubt that he makes some excellent stops at times, but that's his job, that's why he's a pro footballer playing at an excellent level. Yes, he has won us games single handedly in the past, BUT, he has more than certainly lost us more points this season than he's gained for us! In fact, if we had a decisive keeper that actually knew how to communicate and organise a defence, we'd probably be on about 52 points minimum which would see us more than safe come the middle of February.
Yesterday also highlighted for me what a travesty of a 'footballer' Craig Forshyte is! Every time he got the ball he laboured forwards and lost it by doing the same predictable boll*cks time and time again!! One excellent shot in the first half which their keeper did well with, but that was it! He's is definitely not a winger. Wingers are suppose to have a bit of pace and some ability to beat the full-back. He couldn't trap a bag of cement and I reckon my Nan could beat him in a ten yard sprint. Truely woeful footballer.
Felt sorry for Iwelumo, he got awful 'service' from the midfield and when we did put the ball in the box he won it every time and no one was on hand to anticipate a knock down. In fact, Garner often challenged for the same ball Iwelumo was going for meaning the second ball was won by a Palarse player every time! It didn't help matters by playing both Eustace and Hogg together in the middle as neither made any effort to get in the box and support the two strikers because it isn't their game. Both players natural game is to sit in front of the back four and protect the defence. If you're going to play them together in the middle then you need to play 5 in midfield with either Murray or Bauben supporting the lone striker.
Four soft as sh*t goals conceded against a sub-standard Palarse team is not acceptable. Sort it out.
I would rather drive to Doncaster than Selhurst Park. Left home in what should have been plenty of time, but still ended up dumping the car down a side street in Penge at 2.40 and legging it through South Norwood, just getting to the ground at 3.00.
The best journey I have ever had to SP was for the play off semi, when I drove right round the M25 and came up the A23 through Coulsdon.
May have already been posted, but does anybody have an update on why Garner was subbed at half time. Was he injured or just ineffective in the game?

I found that chant amusing too. Top marks for that one.
Re any rivalry, I loved the style of Malcolm Allison and the team of the 80's after that.
However, in our promotion season I simply found Palace fans aggressive and unpleasantly arrogant, even the ones I work with, which made it a pleasure when we won.
Even their reserve team had an air of arrogance at Borehamwood, in which Freeman was a part.
I reffed at Selhurst in the 90s and the people there behind the scenes are quality. The pitch is a bog.

Dyche knew we wouldn't perform;

I thought Hodson was one of our best players yesterday never got beat and got some great crosses in your syhte commemt is way of the mark, i also thought Massey changed the game and needs to start on SAT. My biggest gripe is Hogg hes a great player who can pick a pass 25 yards away but wont shoot at goal when hes in the box ? why, also he does give away free kicks in dangerous places.
For a 20 year old who had a disgusting amount of flak last season, Hodson has been outstanding this season. I think we can forgive him for having one below par game! If he was even below par, I couldn't make the game and I'm hearing conflicting things on here!

Some people assume I think the world revolves around me, which, of course is complete and total nonsense, the world revolves around the sun which shines out of my arse...

My team for saturday:
Loach
Hodson Marriappa Nosworthy Doyley
Murray Hogg Prince Kacaniklic
Deeney Massey
Subs: Bond Dickinson Eustace Yeates Garner

Highlight of the game, which I've only just remembered:
Our lot sung 'Does you boyfriend know you're here' to some bloke over the partition, and then some bright spark piped up with 'you don't have one you're too fat' and that was sung a few times too.
Made me laugh that.
