The one saving grace Forsyth does seem to have so far is that he can pop up with a goal...in a low-scoring side, at least he's netted 4 so far.

We were never going to replace Danny with another foward hitting 25 a season but it was to be hoped we could at least get somebody in capable of scoring 10-15, in the same way Ady replaced Helguson with King/Hendo. Instead we signed Iwelumo and Garner and it's costing us dearly because Dyche has done well to improve other areas of the team but up front there is little support /back up for Marvin.

Reminded me of Southampton away performance, and for me Hodson did well, but there was a gulf between the defence and the strikers.

Thought we would lose when Hogg not in the team, nothing against Eusty who was ok - but Hogg makes the team tick, in the same way Cowie used to.

Forsyth and Yeates were poor which affected the front two.

The former is more of a natural striker, and could grow into being a valuable player, whereas Yeates is almost a luxury squad player for cameo appearances.

This transfer window is crucial as if we lose the wrong players without adequate replacements it could be a long hard season.

Because the referee and his assistants were not very good.

Forsyth is **** poor. Says he wants to work hard to regain his place in the team, he gets a chance, and is utterly, utterly useless for 90 minutes. No faith in him. Get 2 wingers in ASAP please Dyche.

Hard to stay in the game when the ball is being fired over your head constantly though.

He even had enough time to bring it down he was that clear. Also from yesterday how come we could not string two passes together? It was a travesty, the players reorted to hoofing it about when they chould have got it on the deck.
I have to disagree with you there. I think Forsyth offers us absolutely nothing and we need to sign a proper left winger ASAP.

I agree, Forsyth is a problem. He probably had his worst ever game on Saturday and his confidence must be rock bottom. I have not seen anything in him to make me think he deserves a regular start in the side. He does have one or two things in his locker which is useful, but his overall game is so poor and I believe it brings the whole team down. In hindsight, Dyche probably wishes he left well alone, along with one or two other poor early signings, but now he is at the club he should be treated like any other "development" player and farmed out to the lower leagues. If he has come to the club as an immediate first team player, then I'm afraid someone in the management setup has very poor judgement, and Watford are now being made to suffer as a consequence.

Fair enough Cheeky, maybe I am looking at him in rose tinted glasses. He should be (in my eyes) used in a 4-3-3 formation playing alongside Sordell and Deeny/Yeates.

Wingers create goals, and Forsyth is just not cutting the mus****. When Sordell goes, I genuinely don't know:

    a) who will create chances
    b) who will put those chances away.

It's a good thing we had a nice tidy run over the last month or two, because if Sordell goes and if we don't manage to sign a good left winger, then we could be in for a pretty ugly and depressing 4 months...
