When Nyron arrived back in Sunderland the first thing he did was contact Martin O'Neill and arranged a meeting, which took place early this morning. Nyron then explained how he felt Watford was home to him, he's enjoyed every second and wanted to stay down south. Martin O'Neill granted him premission to leave Sunderland after contacting a few importants heads. Nyron's agent then contacted Watford and a deal was made that satisfied both Nyron's Agent and Watford.
Is that true Ron?
Some people assume I think the world revolves around me, which, of course is complete and total nonsense, the world revolves around the sun which shines out of my arse...

That will do

This is a quite incredible signing, considering it all fits into Watford's pay structure. I think a lot of credit has also got to go to Nosworthy himself who clearly has made this move a reality. I thought players with an attitude like him were exinct a long time ago. He just wants to play football and loves it at Watford. This is a massive boost for the club and everyone connected. Superb piece of business Dychey and this is a massive coup for the club. Let's hope one or two more will now follow.
Brilliant signing, he wants to wear the shirt, can seemingly add that little bit of steel we've lacked, provides competition... he'll get an amazing reception on Saturday!!
Great news, welcome Nyron. But we must keep Aidy as the two have formed a great partnership

Yes, that's exactly how I see it also. I know Watford are trying to get Tommy Smith, either on loan or permanent but it is now all up in the air because of the change of management. Don't forget McGinn will be back soon and will seem like a new signing if he manages to get his pre-injury form. We need to offload a couple like Iwelumo and Mirfin. Walker is on his way to S****horpe which will free up some money. I hope we don't sell any of our "premium" players or else it will be a case of one step forward and two steps back. If we hang on to Sordell & Mapps and bring in Smithy, then the second half of the season should see us sail away from the drop zone and may even flirt with the playoffs.
Completely forgot about McGinn, he appears to be coping well with his rehabilitation and hopefully he will regain his form. I would like to see Cotterill possibly sign as well as Smudge. I swear I remember someone from the club saying that we don't have to sell in January, so hopefully the club stick to their guns. It is a shame Walker never settled in but thats the way it is sometimes. Iwelumo and Mirfin days appear to be numbered as you have indicated. I would like to see some of the youngsters get some game time soon but I am not too sure on Dyche's philosophy with the youth.

IT'S THE EYE OF VYDRA AND THE THRILL OF THE FIGHT, STEPPING UP TO THE CHALLENGE OF OUR RIVALS.
Wise wise words. In the past we've have two senior players and two to three youngsters as back-up.
But don't forget that for the central defense berth we also have Mirfin which means we have four senior players vying for two CD berths. This also means no youngster will be able to compete for that berth.
I like what Nosworthy brings in terms of his recent contribution but I honestly think we're getting a bit overloaded for the two central defender berths.

I don't think Mariappa will be sold. If anything I can see Mirfin leaving on loan (S****horpe could be interested in bringing him back). Tiny's contract runs out in the summer so perhaps we may let him go now if he doesn't want to sign a new one or isn't being offered a new one.
I totally agree with Nascot.
The last time we had any success, promotion with Aidy, we had 4 good center backs, Malky, Carlisle, DeMerit and ****tu. It's not a position where you can have a weakness.
Thompson, Bennett and Hoban are all coming through and will all feature this year. Marriappa made his first start back in 2005 but you would only have put him as a regular last season.
It also means that our center backs have over 1000 games league experience between them, which is probably the most experienced group in the league. With young players around them, Hodson, Hogg, and Loach this can only be a good thing
It’s my opinion to which I am entitled. Not everyone is a brain dead sheep who agree with others to be popular.
