Sounds to me from others comments that he was wearing a Leeds shirt under his ref kit! However, before the game I would have been happy with a point against a team with a fantastic away record and pushing for promotion. Plus our main objective for the season is to survive and we have now increased the gap between us and the relegation zone from 4 to 5 points. Not forgetting 1 loss in 8 games, and on a 5 game unbeaten run! Come on you horns!!!!!
That's the reason it was a penalty and are you trying to say refs should consider what minute of the game we're in before making a decision?!?

No I'm just saying it's soft, but on that note referee's do consider the time of the match when sending players off at the beginning of games, so why should it be any different when considering penalty decisions especially when Leeds were behind and blatantly looking for a penalty to salvage something from the game. Contact was not made, player was looking for a penalty, IMO no penalty should be awarded

High foot is a foul, regardless of contact, the only person at fault there is Nosworthy for a ridiculous challenge..

Maybe you need to read up on the rules of Association Football then.

But you're saying it shouldn't be a penalty because there was no contact for a high foot, there doesn't have to be contact for it to be a foul..

    Correct.

Clear penalty, clumsy challenge. If it was down the other end we'd be screaming blue murder!

TBF I think we would have calling for a penalty if that had been one of our lads on the end of the high foot.

No not at all what I'm saying is that there are lots of fouls happening in the box all the time that refs do not give penalties for like in the same way they give free kicks outside the area. I'm saying that the ref should take into consideration that the player was looking for a foul and dived when there was no contact. Yes there was a high foot, but if the ref gives that then each team should have had 10 penalties previous for offences in the box like shirt pulling, pushing, especially on corners.

At the end of the day it's all down to the ref. Some will give it, some won't. If it was a stonewall penalty, then fair enough Watford deserve it, but I believe it should not have been a penalty.

It's not called having an opinion in this case. The rules are the rules. High foot (and in this case near the blokes head) = a foul. Personally I think it's a bit of a daft rule but the players know what they shouldn't be doing, especially in the last minute (the Beeb have the foul at 92.47!) and in our own box.

It looked like a penalty, but if it was at Elland Road and we were losing 1-0 in the 5th minute of injury time, would we have been given it? Not a chance in hell....and that's what annoys me about football and how referee's control the result of matches. This can never be proved of course, but being a small club, it goes with the territory.
