Very balanced review, and they certainly see us as a threat, although Leeds will be a hard nut to crack.

Default Eustace and Doyley pushing for starting 11 places

    http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/spo...ntion/?ref=rss

Doyley is fit again after a number of weeks out and featured in the reserve game against Northampton during the week. But, will he start the game against Leeds tomorrow. Since Eustace and Doyley were injured and Dyche was forced to make a change, Watford have only lost once in their last 7 games. I like Doyley, I think he is Watford through and through, but I just think that Hodson is a better player going forward and that type of play fits in with the shape of the team at the moment. I'm also loving the fact we have depth in the squad now so that when we actually make a substitution, a talented player that will change a games direction is coming on. Also, Troy Deeney got another match winner, which is great for him and I feel that he deserves more of a chance to play up front in the position he desires. Iwelumo is a strong character to have on the field and his partnership with Sordell is working, but is it time for Deeney and Sordell to link up, to give our strike force more pace and finishing ability?

This is a very tough week for Sean Dyche when it comes to picking the team, but I believe that we should stick with a winning team, but use our subs to our advantage. Definitely should bring Deeney on around the 60 minute mark to get a nice run and see what impact he has on the game.

Starting lineup to face Leeds is:

    GK - Loach

    RB - Hodson
    CB - Nosworthy
    CB - Mariappa
    LB - Dickinson

    RW - Yeates
    CM - Hogg
    CM - Buaben
    LW - Kightly

    CF - Iwelumo
    CF - Sordell

Subs: Doyley, Eustace, Forsyth, Deeney, Beattie (IMO this is by far the strongest Watford bench I have ever seen)

Eustace will start as Price has gone off the boil and Deeny will start up front to give us more pace and movement.

With respect, I have a hangover as bad as I can ever remember and need to try and feel my way through it, therefore I am not going to spend time going through old match reports to find a stronger bench but if you think that is the strongest then you are wrong.

hahahaha, fair play if you would do that to prove me wrong. I'm sure there are many stronger benches then this considering this is not Watford's best ever team, just speculating on the point that we now have better reinforcements on the bench then on other occassions

Eustace will start instead of Buaben.

I'm disappointed Garner doesn't even get a sniff of the first team anymore. He works incredibly hard and I think with a little more opportunity, has the desire and work rate to be successful.

I agree with your starting line up, senior players should not just walk back in when their fit it sends out a wrong message to the whole squad, come in play well sraight out again when the experienced guys are fit. Fair enough if results havent gone our way but if its not broken dont fix it. I with your bench but would take Forsyth out for a keeper.

Apart from replacing Emu with Deeney your team is spot on.

Eustace has to start in place of the prince, but if someone could nobble Doyley today in training then that would be good!!

Why does Eustace have to replace Bauben? It was not so long ago everyone was moaning that Hogg and Eustace were to similar and couldn't play together!

Because this is a forum where everyone has an opinion for a start!!

Now I was not one of them moaners not so long ago,but I think Prince's last few performances have not been up to scratch,so I would like to see Eustace start ahead of him.Probably should have worded it like that in the first place then wouldn't have had a pathetic jobsworth questioning it!!!

Were you out with LBH last night, UHORNS? Bit of a sore head response there.

Buaben has been rubbish since he came in.

Not particularly having a go at him, but he isn't any more creative then Eustace or Hogg, or have any greater range of passing. He does make more forward runs, but they are always ignored because we always aim for Iwelumo.

He was rubbish against Birstol City. And Pompey. I have no problem with him starting or being dropped, I don't think it makes much difference. Would keep him on for now, but he hasn't, as of yet, brought a whole lot else to the table apart from being marginally more attacking than Eustace.
Richard Lee in his usual goalkeeping stance...

next bad game Hodson has, Doyley will come straight back in the team.

Hodson has played well and much better on the ball + going forward. And doesn't get enough credit for his defending aswell, obviously has area's to improve on but he's still only young.
