No point taking him. Leave him at home and give someone else the chance.

We'd do well to get past the group stage anyway.
1 down, just Gerrard, Lampard and Terry to go now.

No point taking him?
Whether you like him or not he is by far and away our best player and one of only two in our squad that would walk into any team in the world with ease.
''Do not scratch your eyes!''

Imagine this, we get through the group stages somehow, and then are embarassed in the knockout stages and then the media will claim that Rooney should have come. There would be a media circus anyway. I'm undecided on whether to take him or not, fantastic player and striking up a wonderful partnership with Young, but a massive massive twunt.

So many ifs, but if Ingerland take Rooney he will be targeted by every team that you play, just waiting for the red mist to appear.
Leave him at home ,let someone else come thru that will not embarras the nation.

"Whether you like him or not he is by far and away our best playe" Based on his Man U performances I'd be inclined to agree. However based on his performances for England I'm nothing like as sure.
I don't get this "best player" nonsense. Exactly what did he do in South Africa?

If you appeal is there a threat of the ban being extended.

Doesn't matter anyway. We're useless regardless of who plays.
Don't Mess With Texas

A three game ban as I expected.
Whoever goes the format will be the same. Limp through the group stages, then go out to someone on penalties after playing out a painfully boring 0-0.

Whats the fuss about? A straight red is always a 3 game ban, and kicking someone is always a red. Don't see why everyone's so shocked! Lets be honest with Capeello we'll be lucky to win a game, the sooner the euro's are over the better imo
The sooner Capello goes, the better.
Perhaps a failed tournament will be enough reason not to offer him another contract, although by then it would probably be too late.
Leave Rooney behind, he might actually learn a lesson!
He's going at the end of 2012 I think.
Lets not get too het up on getting an English manager as many have failed in the recent 3/4 decades (Robson and Venables apart)...including our own GT ofcourse.
Maybe missing some games will ensure Rooney is motivated enough to perform for the latter stages if the team get that far.
