To be honest, it just looks like the normal bunch of touch ups and updates that they do every year to keep it fresh. However one new thing has caught my eye, you can now add or remove leagues during your career. So if you decide to move region and no longer need certain leagues then you can remove them so that the computer doesn't have to work out results for the league throughout a season.

For example, if you move from Celtic to the Kashima Antlers in the J-League, you can deselect the SPL and no longer make it an active league. This will be great for journeymen players like me who would happily manage a team in the Namibian regional 2nd division if it didn't mean having to activate every league in the entire world.

Looking forward to it. The changes sound like they'll improve the overall experience and I like the modifications to transfer negotiations etc.

If it wasn't for that I probably wouldn't have bothered updating from my FM11. I'll post the link in here when they release a demo.

Miles Jacobson just announced that the "game has gone gold". Which means that it's been sent off for full mass production. He also said the Demo is planned for release this weekend.

It allows you to play the first half of the season in any of the biggest European leagues.

For whatever reason, SI have decided to make it Steam only. (Steam is a game management type program). No steam = no FM12. It's free to download and I assume there's a link on the site ^

The Disc version will require Steam as well. Apparently you'll need to activate the game online first, then can play it offline. Either way, Steam will need to be installed.

Has anyone downloaded the Demo yet? I did but it turns out they have a problem with Intel graphics cards and the game causes the entire computer to freeze. Unless they fix that I obviously won't get the game.

I don't think I can beat what I did with Watford last year tbh.

Downloaded the demo and had a look at our players. Sean Murray & Gavin Massey look like good prospects. Adam Thompson too.

I've won the Premier League twice and Champions League, FA Cup, League cup a few times with Watford on 11. I will have a Watford game but trying to think of who to start a game with this year, undecided

Really? I think it's really good. Only had a little mess around on the demo, but I found it all pretty smooth and easy to use/navigate my way around. I like the new features with scouting, player reports being more in depth and the team talks are a lot more responsive/varied now. What specifically didn't you like about the new lay-out?

Having spent a couple of hours on the demo just getting a feel for the game, I'm really looking forward to the release. Had a couple of magnificent games on 11 with FC Metz and Watford, both of which lasted for around 11 seasons. Hoping I'll be able to achieve similar success on 12.
