    Default Loan-watch 2011/12

A thread to keep track of the Watford players currently out on loan.

Michael Bryan has played twice for Bradford, coming on just after the hour mark away to Oxford and playing just over an hour in a home defeat to Dag & Red.

Adam Thompson scored on his Brentford debut against MK Dons in the JPT.

If anybody else wants to find out how the others are doing they are welcome to!

Bond kept a clean **** in his first game which Brackley won 2-0 and drew the last one 1-1.

Stevange beat Rochdale 4-2 last week, Walker did nothing of any significance.

    Stevange
Some people assume I think the world revolves around me, which, of course is complete and total nonsense, the world revolves around the sun which shines out of my arse...

Anyone know how they all got on over the weekend.
(We can of course add Gavin Massey to this thread now)

From the Yeovil FC website match report:
With twenty minutes left, Agard was withdrawn for new signing Gavin Massey, a like for like change replacing speed with speed. The Watford youngster looked very impressive in his new surroundings and the Huish Park faithful warmed immediately to the eighteen year old.

Massey worked hard up front in the final stages of the game and, with one impudent movement, left Foster for dead but sent his shot spinning just wide of the far post for what would have been a sensational debut goal.

I expect great things from Mr Massey. Apparently he originally had a bit of an attitude, but is now a model of hard work and enthusiasm

Hopefully we won't get another loan striker in and he'll be able to force his way into the team towards the end of season.

Walker is now on the bench for Stevenage and came on last night when they were crusing past Sheff Weds 5-1 last night. Done al right but nothing of note. Being kept out of the side now by John Mousinho, a player released by Wycombe. Not really looking great for him not to be playing now, especially as they turn in a performance like last night.

Maybe people will finally realise that Josh Walker IS NOT the Messiah and answer to all our creativity related problems!

I think that Massey going on loan is a good move for the club and Massey I also expect good things from GM, maybe the attitude thing was just because he was young.

Before he went to Harefield, he was a bit cocky, but that was kind of to be expected, being the best football player in a Sports Academy school and all.

Though that was many years ago, and we know what kids are like.

Either Harefield/Watford kicked it out of him or he matured out of it, either way, he looks hard-working and determined enough to block any negativity out.

Highlights from the Yeovil game, seeing Massey rinse their RB and was unfortunate to have not scored

Love the idea of this thread.

Can we sticky this Admin? We could keep it going over the whole season?

Michael Bryan doesn't appear to even be getting on the bench at Bradford after they got a new manager in.

Thompson was the best player on the pitch according to my Brentford supporting colleague
Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

How many have we got out on loan now?

As long as they all have 24hour call back clauses, I would think this mass loan out policy is a good thing.

    What do you guys think?

Don't have a problem with these loans. Of the 7 loaned out, only Thompson and Whichelow can really step into the first team. These players will be off our payroll for a short period and gaining valuable experience in order to become better first team players.

I think it's a good policy and for the first time in a long time, we are thinking long term.

These current "journeymen" pro's are a short term solution in order to keep us in the Championship and to allow the young players to catch up and drip feed the first team.

Thompson is going to be a top quality player. Make no mistake about that. I hope we have him tied down to a long contract as he will be worth a lot of money in a couple of years.
