    Default Meisters Beerbelly

...is in need of some work.

I've decided to look at getting a rowing machine and I reckon on a budget of up to £200 although as little as possible would be preferred.

    Anyone got any hints/tips/recommendations?

My thoughts are to go for an air or magnetic resistance one, space/noise isn't really a problem and I have motivation issues so something which will give me readouts targets etc would be good.

Looking at these which seem to have decent reviews.

It's boring, £200 wasted. you will use it twice a day for a week, then once a day, then it will gathering dust.

Cut down the beer and save the money.

    Sit-ups and press-ups.

Cheaper and more effective, if you do it right.

As a budding personal trainer, my advice to you would be to get your lazy, fat a*se down the gym and do it properly!

I bought a rowing machine from Argos for about £100, used it once, got a refund.

    It was cack.

Instead I went running, which is free.

Aquadrome in Ricky have a rowing club and it's right next to the pub, the pub is where all the lads chat about rowing and tell rowing stories whilst sipping their ale.

    Sorry, but rubbish.

Extremely limited and doing sit ups, apart from burning a few calories and tightening the muscle under the flab, will do little to solve the problem.

Need a proper balance of diet and exercise. Depending on the speed he wants to lose the belly, can either be weeks or months, depending on how much he wants to adjust his lifestyle.

Swimming is totally the best thing you can do for your body in terms of exercise. It works pretty much every muscle and feels friggin awesome!

Join a local rowing club. Its actually suprisingly theraputic (spelling?) and they will teach you the correct technique - most gyms teach you incorrectly. Either that or the club I went to were having me on...

You might want a back-up plan for the winter though!

If you are going to do something about your beer belly we need of course to see some pics of before and after, real pics not something you have a scanned from muscle weekly, it will need to be authorised by either your Dr, lawyer, electrician or even your garbage removal officer and of course dated.

    it is

I have explored so many areas around Watford by heading with my map and following bridleways and paths. Seen things I would never have seen, and its nice how cyclists out and about usually give a nod to each other to say "nice one"
