I spend a fair bit of time on some of the Forest boards, as I live up here and Forest are my 2nd team.
You may remember Billy Davies's recent spat with MM over whether or not Forest are a big spending club. Now my theory is that whenever Forest get less than a win, BD tries to draw attention away from the game itself by raising some other issue.
I believe that he did this on Saturday regarding the "assault" allegation against Nigel Clough Forest lost to Derby, their local rivals. He has made a formal complaint of assault and lawyers are involved. It has worked because about 80% of the articles are about the incident in question, rather than the game itself.
Now I can't stand Billy Davies so I might be biased, but I have looked the video many times and, despite that Forest fans clearly seeing a vicious kick and being "outraged" at the incident, I fail to see anything more than a mild "coming together". I have described it as something that would have been ignored at Womens Institute "bring & buy sale" let alone a top football match involving grown men. Am I blind or what? What do you think? The incident occurs at about 5 min 19 secs into the video.
