When the news of the resignation first broke my immediate reaction, although I'm not sure why, was to take Russo's side and like many on these forums I really felt for him and the way he had been forced into a corner forcing his resignation as it was the only way to bring matters to a conclusion one way or the other.

I'm not so sure now, I think both sides have interests that suit their own (financial) purposes and egos and are not for the love and good of our club. I also think that we would be better off if a third party who really cared about us, were to take over the club (e.g. Elton) and another was to chair it (e.g. GT) - I really don't see this happening unfortunately so I suppose its going to be the better of two evils. The only problem is, the more I think about it and the more opinions and conspiracy theories I read, the more unsure I am as to who I would like to see taking over the club.
I just hope they bl**dy well get on with it quickly so that we can avoid administration and the 10 point deduction that goes with it. If we lose the points, it will be another relegation battle and all the problems going on at boardroon level are bound to filter through to the team which certainly isn't going to help their confidence, something which has helped us punch above our weight so far this season.
