Exactly. Even though I moan, and everyone moans about all sorts of different aspects of the club whether it be on or off the pitch, it is an amazing adventure and there is always a twist around the corner and thats what makes this 'small' club so watchable

We seem to do well in the cups for a club our size...a few Premiership teams would like our record over recent years.

    I wouldn't know, I'm vehemently anti-Watford.

It's strange... I look back on the dark days of 2002-2005 with quite some fondness. Maybe its to do with the hindsight of us pulling through in the end... but anyway, give me Watford over Big 4 anyday.

Too true, i wanted a boring season to recover from the last one (or two) but nope, it's still ups and downs (more downs at present). I guess we need the bad times to enjoy the good but i wouldn't mind a period of boring stability...
    Where has the time gone...?

    Agreed.
    Rovers are red,
    Grays athletic are blue,
    The FA loves 20 clubs,
But the fans love all 92.

I have always said i would rather support a team that yo yoed from division to division than a team that is always in the same league.

Imagine supporting someone like Middlesbro who have had about 10 consecutive medicore seaons of finishing about 14th.

Coventry are becoming the Championship equivelent.

Also Burnley never seem to be close to promotion or relegation but at least they have had some cup runs.

never boring, not judging from my experience of the few home games ive sat through this season! know what you mean though, seems to be a promotion/relegation scrap and/or cup run every season atm (and this season hard to keep track of whats happening off the pitch), suppose it beats being a regular mid-table team.

Burnley have spent the longest consecutive time in a single division (and are currently extending it) than any other team in history.
Richard Lee in his usual goalkeeping stance...

Rochdale have been in the botton division for about 30 years. Weren't portsmouth in this league for about 15 years.

From memory I think Burnley is either 24 years or 27 years.

Burnley were with us (and usually beating us) back in the Division Two days a decade or so ago.

    Very true.

To some extent I'd be happy with us staying in this division with the odd trip to the playoffs and even rarer occassional season in the premiership along with a decent cup-run every other year or so. As long as we stayed true to the values I care about - passion for the club, youth development and the community. Succeed at that and I'll never complain. I don't need to be in the premiership to be happy.
