Not saying that to cause an argument. But I think just picking out Nath in isolation and framing it as just him isn’t fair either?

He was all ready to sign for us until he sat down on the plane from Italy next to a Mr R Hughes. What an amazing coincidence.

 

Just had a work with my #ITK colleague at The Athletic.

He said that it's still looking like he could sign for us, but there is interest elsewhere, and he's not ruling out a last minute change of plans, although not really likely at this stage, but still could happen.

Happy with this and it will be very good business if we can get rid of Dawson. I am unsure why any Premier league side wants Dawson bit in my opinion Troost-Ekong is a better option.

 

Finally strengthening the defence after we've been relegated. Can hopefully look back and laugh.

 

Dawson is more than adequate at this level in my opinion, it’s his attitude to want to that might questionable. With the amount of corners etc you get in this division, he’ll be a good source of goals too.

If we get rid of Dawson, I think we will need to bring in at least one more CB too.

 

He is adequate at this level but I still would have Troost-Ekong, Kabasele, Cathcart and Wilmot ahead of him. Agreed regarding the corners, especially because Sema and Garner seem to be able to put a nice ball into the box.

 

Janmaat has looked pretty decent there on the occasions he has done it in a back 3.

I wonder if he is considered an option with the 4 right backs we currently have.

Nigerian fans not happy at this, think it's a step down. I mean in general the Championship is a step down from Serie A (although outside the top teams it's definitely not that much of a step down), but we might even be better than Udinese at this stage, and besides, he was playing in the retirement home that is Turkey when he was playing for them at the World Cup
