Where is your season ticket or where do you usually sit. Be as vague or specific as you like. I’ll start: Within spitting distance of the dugouts SEJ
It depends on the weather. If it's cold, then in the armchair next to the fire. But if it isn't, then normally in the armchair next to the bookcase. Sometimes I might even spend the first half on one, and the 2nd half on the other.
In the Family Stand. Although I enjoyed going back to the Rookery on Saturday, then I sat in the SEJ on Sunday. So three different stands in around a week come Saturday!!
Just right of 1881 for 1st half. If good game same position for second half, if like against Swansea 2nd half in Rookery bar
SEJ, high up in the middle, retired. I'm going to seriously think about renewing next season, think I'm done.
Rookery. KK, right behind the goal. I changed seats about seven seasons back and I must confess the old seat, higher up was better. Didn't have dozy Barry and his daft daughter behind then! Then again the others in the clan are sane, especially the older brothers,18 and 22. The two youngest boys however are like a primary school version of Statler and Waldorf, 'Shoot' 'He's rubbish','WHAT"S HE DOING?'
UGT, VR end. No Atmosphere but good view. No atmosphere for home games anywhere anyway, so get my noisy kicks at away games.
Lower GT, halfway line. I seem to remember there are 3 or 4 of us on here in the same block. Been there years and can’t honestly see me moving now
SEJ, approx edge of the penalty box, about a third of the way up (near to where there's always empty seats). As a younger fan it was always behind the goal, but now I've "retired" to the side of the pitch!
SEJ row L. About half way between the dugouts and the opposition fans. The wall of silence around the 1881 absolutely stops any atmosphere being transmitted to my location.
LGT in the corner by the Rookery. It’s pretty quite there but close enough to the 1881 for the boy and I to join in as much singing as possible.
SEJ, half way between the half way line and the opposition fans. I used to love the Rookery but wanted better seats. Which was a mistake. I can barely hear any home noise whatsoever and everyone around me is silent and worse, incredibly negative. I have never known a more pessimistic bunch.
Same here, I am in line with the edge of the centre circle; nearer the Vic end. I was at a great height until this season when we were all forced to move forward 3 rows in the first 3 blocks.
For the Bristol City FA Cup tie I had a seat in a different part of the UGT to my normal front row to the side of the corporates. The match experience was detracted by different people around me having a real downer on the team and moaning constantly about fat Deeney, Gomes is finished, Janmmat is slow, rubbish Pererya doesn't create anything (oh, o goal), lazy Doucoure giving the ball away, it being too slow, no movement etc etc while loudly coaching the team but only pointing out what they impatiently thought was wrong. Ironically the BBM was effusing how good the view was and how you could really see the movement of the players (I thought you said nobody was moving mate?) compared with his Rookery seat. After the 3rd goal they were back to moaning about the lack of atmosphere and how, literally dead, the people were in the UGT. Never heard that one before mate, I might see you again.... Have a look at all the parents around you with little kids taking in their first or rare chance to see the Hornets mate or who have moved for the game from the Family Stand - that's a good reason why it's not the 1881 there today and please feck off back to the Rookery with your wannabe MOTD punditry to anyone who'll listen pessimism ASAP. I'm guessing all the UGT will go to black squashy seating if Scott builds a 3rd tier but I digress. The normal crowd around me are a delight, both passionate and knowledgeable.
Rookery three quarters up in line with six yard box on 1881 side. We moved here four years ago from lower down behind the goal as my son, then 8 joined us and we needed three seats in a row. Apologies if you are behind him as he still stands on his seat when everyone stands up, forgetting he is nearly as tall as me now! Good crowd around us, all proper fans, no real moaners or commentators and the atmosphere is always good being on the 1881 side. I like it!
