Since we only have 22 first team players and at least two of them are currently injured I guess he needs to bring in a few kids if he wants to do 11 v 11 drills!

 

In the video on twitter he was doing 6 vs 6 drills (which would require 24 players for two lots).

 

I think so.

Till Saturday at least.

It's not as if there a lots of people calling for him to be sacked, but there are a decent amounf of critical posts recently while seemingly zero complimentary.

Great - he will be really cheap then, they may even pay us to take him away.
Seriously it would be a thoroughly depressing appointment. As you say he has little more experience than TC and doesn't know the club or players. Surely we can do better ?

Wigan are probably too skint to sack him, and so are leaking stuff to the press in the hope we take him off their hands.

That's what I'm hoping the origin of this story is anyway.

There's a big divide at the moment between Wigan fans slagging off Maloney and Wigan fans mocking Wigan fans slagging off Maloney.

 

Again, even though there are maybe one or two on there who think the idea of sacking him seems silly, even they aren't exactly vociferous in their praise of him - basically everyone on there either seems to want him sacked or just thinks he's a bit 'meh'. No one is posting that they think he's a good manager, shows promise, or is doing a good job with what he has.

 

So Maloney to replace Clevs before Easter Monday then.

I hear not beating Leeds was the last straw for Gino and Dux.

I believe the key to Tom being successful is that he knows the players, knows their strengths and knows how to set them up to achieve maximum return on the sum of the parts. The money wasted on Managers these past few years and their coaching staff, is completely bonkers with overpaying for quite a few players. Please consolidate with Tom and hopefully we will see some more spirited performances like we did yesterday!

 

I think Jimmy Gilligan is the coaching genius behind Toms success.
