Just wondered if any of you guys and gals have subscribed or taken a look at his channel.

I really like it and it’s not as popular as Arsenal Fan TV (watching DT getting annoyed is too funny), but I like how he interviews fans outside the Vic and the away day stadiums.

Seems to be pretty much bang on with his analysis of matches. Only thing I will say is he seems to interview the sane fans each time, unsure if it’s set up like that or if any fan can get on?

Looking forward to seeing HB1 on their next week outside St James’s.

If it’s what the young lad who runs it wants to do, far be it for me to say otherwise. It’s harmless. But after catching about 10 seconds of just one video, I found him extremely annoying.

Arsenal Fan TV have kind of stolen the limelight of the idea and format. Can only see these things being popular at big clubs, with big attendances and people who hang about the ground after the game...none of which applies to us.

The other thing is these fan-cam things always seem to have a habit of seeking out the most annoying people to interview.

How else are they going to get views? It's not like the responses are going to be incisive, so you have to find the biggest idiots you can to entice people to watch simply to take the piss.

I'll bet 90% of Arsenal Fan TV's views are people laughing at how stupid the interviewees are, blud.

Haven't heard so much about Arsenal TV this season - is that because Wenger has gone?

A Skype based version to canvass the views of the forumites would be interesting.

Or, at least, a forum 606 style phone in.

Do they do that terrible match vlogging thing where they talk absolute ******** into the camera for 90 minutes and record their over the top reactions?

That’s the bit I can never get my head around. Fair enough if you want to interview people outside pre/post-game - not my thing, but I can understand it given the presence of social media and fair amount of success other clubs have had with it. But chatting non-stop into your phone about the whole game and videoing your reactions to things while the game is going on? I just find that very odd.

Well that would be the main reason.. plus the fact they've been doing well and no one wants to hear some narcissistic Arsenal fans being all positive. I believe they were also told to rebrand the thing by the club and drop "Arsenal" from the name.. it's now AFTV. Having seen a couple of clips from this season (for curiosity) it seems to me they've also been told to tone it down somewhat. Robbie.. the bloke that runs it.. seems to be branching out in other areas. Interviewing players and their new manager i saw recently. He's probably realised it's run its course and needs to diversify if people are going to keep watching.

I forced myself to watch some of the Watford version and the thing that stands out is that it's lame compared with others ive seen. Watford fans are generally not the outspoken types and this doesn't make for compulsive viewing.
Personally the whole concept makes me cringe but tbh i'd rather watch (and cringe over) some "fam & blud" ranting than nice people from Hertfordshire being nice.

Find 'em all well annoying and they keep asserting that a few of the people they interview are "legends" for being regulars on their channel. Cringe...

Arsenal Fan TV has lost its appeal now they're doing well. For a while, toward the end of Wenger's time, some of the exchanges between Claude and Ty were very entertaining.
The efforts of the 12-year olds behind Watford FTV to create something similar are cringeworthy. But I only managed to sit through about 10 seconds of it before clicking off, so I might be wrong.

Agreed. Would be much better if they could get a few head cases in front of the camera

I'm sure 90% of Arsenal fan TV traffic was non-Arsenal fans watching it after they lost.

The people who run the Watford one don't seem too bad but the people they constantly pick to interview is when it gets really embarrassing, just a lot of Arsenal TV wannabes.

I doubt a platform with 900,000 subscribers (that's 15 times the capacity of the stadium), and routinely getting 50,000 - 150,000 views has run its course. To put it into context the Watford FC official u tube channel has 19,000 subscribers (less than the Stadium capacity). WD18 is ok IMHO. Shane and Tim's contributions are worth the view.

    Blud.

Seriously though i'd be very surprised if their viewing numbers dont decrease this season. Surely half of those that tuned in did so to see the Wenger ranting and melt downs?

Maybe, but AFTV has enough subscribers to monetise the content. So I expect they will develop the content and grow new channels. For one contribution on the Arsenal v Liverpool game they got 280,000 views. That's more than Channel 4 news.

it's run by kids, they need some adults. Maybe find a fit bird (like the one on chelsea tv) and i'm sure viewing figures will go up
