Kasper Schmeichel and the defensive pairing of Morgan and Huth were also borderline worldclass that season, the latter two are very average players but it seemed everyone played into their hands.

If someone offered me the title right now, won on the final day of the season with a 97th minute Troy Deeney goal I'd probably take it tbh.

Agreed, but would prefer to have it sewn up in March if I'm honest

...me too but only if it comes seconds after a penalty save at the other end following a blatant dive.

4 weeks ago our defence was woeful, we didn't sign a centre back which meant almost certain relegation, our strikers were champ standard, not signing a new one meant certain relegation. Our back up players were below standard required for the Prem league.

I don't want to be doom and gloom but we are still way off the top 6. If we get 7th that'll be a fantastic season, and to be honest even that would be some ask.

We are better than people felt 4 weeks ago but nowhere near as good as people feel we are now given the obvious feelgood factor.

    I've done 2 bets again this season;

Avoid relegation - that's 99% in my eyes
Top 10 - that's achievable and looking ok so far.

Great to have you back but Doucoure is not as good as Kante

Thanks.....and I agree, Doucs is not as good, he's better :D

Seriously though, Doucoure can certainly be talked about in the same breath as Kante (imo of course). Maybe he'll have to make a £40m move to a top 6 side before people realise it, but he's certainly up there.

You’re darn right I took the 500/1 after a few too many ciders on Sunday.

Can't see where we are going to get the other 28 points we need to avoid relegation!

It was Liverpool and city that put me off rather than those at the bottom. Could see us out performing most but not these 2. What was Liverpool's handicap?

No question that Doucoure is an excellent player but i feel his distribution lets him down despite the song about him never giving the ball awaaaaaaayyyyyy!

I think this season it's because he's not fully match fit yet, no one is going to be perfect.

This 2 week break comes at a perfect time for him as he's got the minutes in his legs but he also gets a rest.

Pool at +6 and Chelsea +12 could be hard to keep up with.

Had a £5 each way at 15/1 and we are currently top!! To keep above these two I would think we need around 55 points so they would need 93 and 87 points respectively. 55 seems a lot, equivalent of 14 more wins and a draw!

Very possibly but thought it was the one thing that let him down a little last season and certainly is the main difference between him and Kante

I've always thought of Kante as more of a spoiler/disrupter. I suppose I've got my rose tinted glasses on in that I can't believe Mazzarri wanted to get shot of him and very nearly did.

Let’s wait and see how the next few away games turn out before we start to get carried away. Gracia has the home form nailed so I’m hopeful Burnley wasn’t a flash in the pan but let’s see.

Why not. If we can wrap up relegation in March for the past 3 years, I don’t see why we can’t win the league in the same manner.

It has been four games, three of which were against teams we would hope to be above at the end of the season.

While it is entirely deserved we have also had the rub of the green, as you often do when putting together winning runs. Soon things won't go our way, and we will lose a game or two. When that happens it is good to have not have had unrealistic expectations...

if Leicester hadn't achieved it then no one would even consider it.

The funniest thing is people tweeting and writing that Watford supporters actually believe we are going to win the league, rather than revelling in the moment.

A great start, but we won't win the league. Top 10 and a cup, so we can go into Europe without all the crap qualifying would be perfect
