Let's see how it pans out before you start crowing and taking the p1ss. It's a well worn out forum tactic, to ridicule when you have no counter argument.

Looking at the remaining fixtures, we have two very key games where we have to maximise the results. These are West Brom and Swansea. After this it gets very hard. IMO, we have to be safe before the final 6 games, or else our chances of staying up are greatly reduced.

Three key games, yesterday was one secured. Two more to go. Win those two games and we're safe. Going to Hull knowing we don't need to be overly concerned. The last 6 games will be "free hits" and with a relaxed attitude we may even get a few unlikely results.

Anything less than wins against West Brom and Swansea, means there will be something riding on all other matches.

Today, it will be very handy if Boro beat Swansea, in order to keep Swansea down there.

Yesterday confirmed to me that our performance levels are not good enough to give confidence that we have the ability to pick up a lot of points in the run-in. Sunderland are the worst team in the league, yet caused us enough problems which better teams will exploit.

Just look at our overall performances in the last few months. It's no surprise we are struggling. Starting from the second half against Burnley, then a battering at United, West Ham should have beaten us, Southampton tore us to pieces defensively and we were hopeless at Palace. Sunderland were sufficiently poor enough to allow us to sneak a result, but I doubt anyone else will be quite like them.

I'm hoping West Brom will be a little bit switched off on Tuesday, being safe and in a no-man's zone, to allow us to take another victory.

He was in the box but was the only one. So he pretty much had two defenders marking him each time a cross came in. Our problem is that we have a lack of numbers breaking into the box which means its easily defended.

Also, we're not going down. As much as I dislike our manager, he deserves credit for having us on 34 points at this stage. We looked good going forward today too. Just a shame we continue to sit back aftet taking the lead. A better team would have got an equaliser.

I thought we dominated throughout the entire match. Yes, Sunderland had a few chances but all of them were well handled by Gomes and the back four. On another day, we may have scored at least 2 more goals (e.g. Niang with the cross from Amarabbit and Success with the 1v1 gained by a through-ball from Okaka); but that's just how football is.

My counter argument is that offering odds of 60:40 (what's wrong with 6:4 or 3:2 b.t.w.?) on us going down after yesterday is so ridiculous as to render you incompetent to talk about much else.

That'll be the only path to a Watford victory I take it?

Interesting that there are such different views on who played well and who didn't.

In my opinion the outstanding performers were Capoue (the sun was shining, so he put in a shift), Cathcart (after he moved into the middle) and Holebas. The pace of Amrabat, Niang and Success worried Sunderland a lot, but their crossing and finishing was woeful - not helped of course by people not getting into the box to support Okaka. Doucoure and Britos were quite good and Cleverly below par.

Watford dominated the game, but we shouldn't read too much into this. Jones, Gibson, Rodwell, Denayer and Borini were all way below Prem standard. We could run through the centre of midfield without any significant challenge, and Jones gave Niang the freedom of the left side. One decent ball to Defoe and we could have thrown away two points.

Do Watford practise attacking moves? Amrabat, Okaka and Niang seemed to have no idea what their team-mates were going to do with the ball or where they were going to run to receive it.

If West Brom play well, Watford lose, regardless of Watford's performance, relative to their own measure.

Yeah, those over hit, wasted crosses were sublime, Amrabat's reaction when subbed shows what a selfish, petulant little tart he is. He has been out of the team for two months, is completely 5h1te, but expects to get a full ninety minutes. Just **** off, Amrabat!

When someone says something is 50/50 do you correct them saying "you should say it's 1:1" ?

Saying something is 60/40 in our favour has nothing to do with the odds at the bookies. It's a turn of phrase.

Your only contribution to my post is that, nothing on the actual content. You sound like a bit of a tool if you ask me.

Absolutely, unless of course you still believe Watford can find some kind of form that's eluded them pretty much all season.

Excellent use of the word "tool" HB. This forum should be a component of any university English language course imo. You don't pick up phrases like that in a textbook.

When was the last time Deeney busted a gut to get on the end of anything?. His bulking up has reduced his pace and mobility and probably contributes to why balls get pumped up to him rather than into space for him to run into which he would never get to first even when playing against the slowest of defenders

Ha! I wasn't asking you though was I you plonker? I've noticed that nobody on here ever does. 60:40 was part of the content of your post. That was the point. A ridiculous assertion when it must be much more like 10:1 or even longer odds. So excuse me if I won't be bothering with all the rest of your negative stuff, trashing of the use of statistics which everyone else understands and general buffoonery for - well the rest of my life.

Ed. I've checked it now. The current odds vary between 14:1 and 22:1. And 60:40 are odds. Your ridiculous odds. Not a turn of phrase at all.

One thing I don't do is hound other posters, trying to pick faults over pathetic things. You are like so many on here. I try to make honest valid points, but as always it's trashed by people like yourself.

No. I've stood up for you in the past. 60:40 was a 'pathetic thing' though. If you post something ridiculous, and then try and defend it, don't be surprised if you get picked up on it.

  27. Come across to the politics section HB. You can enjoy me and Kelso going at it as much as I enjoy this. (Unfortunately you will find my political position closer to yours)

I didn't write 60:40 though did I. I wrote 60/40. Nothing to do with a bookies odds. It's just a pathetic attempt by you to discredit a post.....for whatever bizarre reason known only to yourself.

You're making a fool of yourself over this. I guess you have nothing much to say, and trying to pull apart genuine concerns of another fan amuses you. If that's your thing then it's a bit sad.

But it never ceases to surprise me what upsets people on here, but I think you are very strange if that has tipped you over the edge.

Boy you're thin-skinned. So what's 60/40 when it's at home then? Does it mean that in five similar situations we'd be relegated twice and stay up three times or does it mean something entirely different which we've yet to be enlightened about? Pathetic attempt? Bizarre? Upset? Very strange? Tipped me over the edge? Boy this is fun ...

Instead of acting like a baby, just read the original post and make some intelligent observations. I'm very happy to converse with equally intelligent persons with an opposite view. It's what makes a good debate. You clearly cannot do this, or else you would not pick up on a triviality, and make something out of it. You made yourself look stupid as it's now clear you made a mistake with what you read. Nowhere else to go with this as you've boxed yourself in.......but if you would like to discuss real Watford FC issues, then I'm happy to talk about it.

I do not think you are really that thick in having to have the 60/40 comment explained any further to you......but in case you are......it means I think the balance of probability is in our favour at the moment. Had I said 50/50 it would have meant I thought we'd have an equal chance of staying up or going down. It's on that sliding scale basis. Now do you understand the point?
