Apparently, we have bought Peñaranda, and loaned him to Granada for 2.5 years. Maybe to balance Udinese's accounts or, more likely, to ensure he is labelled as home grown (although actually, he might just be a little late for that).

Yeah - good point. I get it's a hard job to fill the 12 hours of non stop transfer nonsense. But surely one of the punters on the couch can say "hold on Jamie - what happens if they DO go down?"

Watson. Connolly on loan, Ake. Though if you listen to his interview on 5 live, he says that he goes to every Watford game, home and away. The radio presenters questioned that, saying that from their knowledge of someone in Dowling's position at the clubs they were at (as a manager and a player), they tend to watch other team's matches instead. My guess is that Dowling was brought here for his knowledge of British-based players as well as to utilise his contacts to offload fringe players from our squad (hence why he watches our matches).
