I watched the Prince Charles documentary style thing last night on the bbc knowing I was going to absolutely hate it, but it really caught me off guard because I absolutely loved it. Gave the impression that Charles is a top bloke. Camilla seems a bit of a miserable ****er though.
Diamond disliked for American spelling, programme disliked as a pure PR job. Chas ignores all evidence that clashes with his cherished beliefs but this wasn't analysed. I don't believe he's as bright as he thinks he is. He says he'll stop speaking out on controversial issues when he becomes king, but how can we be sure that he won't continue to put pressure on ministers behind the scenes?
I was part of the party that showed him round a new educational establishment in the late 70's. I was one of two students in the group and he spent probably 3 hours with us. Something like about 25/30 years later I was visiting Caernarfon Castle with my family, and he happened to be visiting and arrived in a helicopter. We decided to wait at the main entrance and he did a little walkabout as he went in. After a brief "Hello" I mentioned our previous encounter, and he remembered it well and, in particular, he recalled a conversation I had with him about his experiences on the minesweepers with no further prompting from me. He has a very good memory at least.
Well the BBC were never going to make one where he comes across as a bit of an ar$ehole. The whole thing was cringe inducing and the Commonwealth stuff is farcical. Buttering up a few fans and dignitaries to gloss over colonial days.
I said you have ‘nothing to say about BBC bias when it suits, have you’. You whine and whine about left wing bias, but fail to mention any other bias when discussing pure propaganda for the monarchy. Now personally, I’m quite happy that BBC makes programmes for a wide range of views that reflects the whole country across its whole output. But massive snowflakes like you and iamofwfc are usually not and start gurning at the TV like chimps beating themselves off when faced with an alternate viewpoint.
As a signed up, paid up member of the Diana, kween of are harts, princess of angles facebook scene, I hate Charles and Cowmilla with a passion, for what they did to are troo kween of candles.
Actually really like the Royal Family. Probably a really controversial view on this forum, but I’m comfortable with that. Prince Michael of Kent, you sir have a fantastic beard and I salute you.
