First 'Pool game I've seen the start of since they won. Utterly ridiculous if every club is doing it.

We have yet to play Man City under Pearson. Given how he changed the players mindset to face Liverpool so that they played well in both games, can he do the same against City?

He set out to get at Liverpool, and effectively outplayed them and won 3-0.

He set out to sit back against Chelsea, and we were effectively outplayed and lost 3-0.

 

I love Dean.....he's the only referee who regularly stands up for the little guy. He's always likely to give a the smaller club a decision.

In the Championship, I'm hoping half time draw winners might get get minutes.

 

Gomes and Bernard have been appalling. I can't believe we've lost THREE times to Everton this season.

From watching the first half, I'd be surprised if Villa don't win this.

When we're relegated, I'm not sure I'll ever forgive Everton, Palace or Leicester.

That's a good result.

 

Given everton had 1 shot on target its a great result.

 

A real let off. Villa deserved to win that and missed a tap in to make it 2-0. Lucky for us the referee's watch was working this time or else Villa would have had a hattrick of VAR decisions go there way.

Both Bournemouth and Villa now 3 points behind, having played one more game.

Winner stays up from our match for sure. I think even a draw puts us both 4 points ahead, meaning they both need to draw and win their last two at least.

 

I would very much accept a draw v West Ham. I reckon all we would need then is to not get smashed by City.......... **** it. We need to beat West Ham.

 

Thank **** for that, I thought the barstewards had only gone and won, thank you Walcott I would obviously have preferred Villa to lose, but I'll take the draw - phew!!!

I reckon if we can pick up another point from somewhere before the end of the season and not get thrashed by anyone, that could be just enough to keep us up.

 

From the Geordies:

They really hate Villa.

 

Palace losing but raising their game massively vs Utd; look a completely different team to the one which rolled over vs Villa.

 

They did ok against Chelsea too immediately before the Villa game. Very disappointing no show from them last Sunday - though I think the early goal would have changed the game if it has stood.

 

Remember that goal difference counts. We're bound to let at least 6 in against Citeh. Again.
