  3. The championship really is dogsh*te this year isn't it.

Any team willing to risk a few bob could relatively easily get automatic promotion.

Surely Big Nige is gonna make an emotional return? Can't see Howe making a return so soon, he looked pretty cooked towards the end of last season

This league is terrible. Luton were the form team ffs. Boro and Sheff Weds also bang average all over the pitch. Does anyone actually have a 25 goal forward?

Both should go. It's disgraceful that these MASSIVE club's aren't in the top half of the EPL.

And swift had an injury before this game. Lucas Joao would be a big miss for them. By far their best player this season imo.

  15. I can't see many teams keeping up the level of pressing through to the end of the season. It's not even controlled the way you see it in the PL it's just relentless and at times frantic chasing the man with the ball.

The ballers in this league are going to be taking the p*** come the spring.

Reading changed their manager in the summer - sacking a British guy and bringing in an unknown from Europe.

    Was there mass outrage?

Early days of course but to win at Derby and Cardiff for an average side is pretty good - must be set up well.

Mind you Derby seem to be rubbish.

Meite banged 4 I think against the scum last season, but of course isn't as prolific at a proper level. Who knows, maybe we actually might not be as badly hit by injuries as them! ;)

Bournemouth-Norwich tomorrow at 4, possibly the first promotion 6 pointer of the season? I'm sure Norwich will be up there, not quite sure about Bournemouth, but equally I wouldn't count them out, so whoever drops points will be fine by me!

Their head coach Veljko Paunovic is really highly taught of here in Serbia. He won us the u20 world cup. I've watched their every game this season and they are looking really good. If Joao isn't available it's a huge blow for them as he's excellent. Their biggest weakness is at rb. Their only rb Yiadom is out injured and Araruna who is a dm but is their second choice rb got injured as well. A great chance for Sema and Pedro.

Ah, didn't realise it was him who won you the U20 World Cup, thought he was a complete randomer! Reading are a weird club, they spent an incredible 226% of their income on wages last I saw, yet have difficulties putting a coherent XI out, at least some of the clubs in this division have the finances excuse as to why they don't have players in certain positions!

Yeah it's really weird that they have only one rb and like 5 strikers. Paunovic is a brilliant coach and I'm really impressed by the way they played this season. Solid at the back and great in attack. Ovie Ejaria is a very good dribbler and Michael Olise is a great set-piece taker. Pretty much the only weakness I have in their team so far is at rb. Oh yes, they also press a lot and like to have a lot of possession, dictate the tempo of the game, etc.

Good news re Joao, he has had a great start to the season (although so had Collins).

I think it would be a very early statement if we defeated Reading next week without conceding. Almost akin to our 2-1 win away at Derby under Boothroyd in 2005/06, the players might start to believe they are capable of doing this.

Leeds have bid for Cantwell, just need someone to go for Beunedia.

£15m apparently, dunno if that'll be enough for them, but he's not playing for them today. Buendia (spelling man, you could have convinced me you were an Everton fan with that effort!) is surely worth more than that, but is he the kind of player who'd have such a strong bond to Norwich that he wouldn't agitate for a move? Difficult one, because I don't think they're in a position where they need to sell anymore
