PROLOGUE (Thanks BRLR):

It was a regular night in The Graham Taylor Arms, or BarGod as the locals referred to it. Although unusually none of the regulars were in tonight , apart from HarrowOrn who never left the place.

HarrowOrn gave the customary good luck 'kiss and touch' to the sign above the bar which read "Drinkers In This Pub Dont Get Cramp" and took a moment to look fondly around his favourite pub.

Gino was sat up high, in his box seat, a glow of beautific love adorned his face as he smiled down upon all that he adored. Dowling , still dressed in his school uniform was tucking into his seventh packet of crisps, spilling crumbs onto The Upper Rous section of the pub below. However, they were too busy sipping from their flasks of hot coca they had sneaked in, so as to avoid paying the extortionate bar prices. Gino didnt mind though.

In the far corner, Sir Elton John sat astride his diamond encrusted, solid gold piano, entertaining all with a non stop show of his greatest hits, whilst David looked lovingly on. David was positively glowing and showing nicely with their third child, thought HarrowOrn, hopefully a girl this time. A kindly punter gave up his seat for David, whos ankles were swelling up in the heat.

Stevohorn was busy scarifying the turf green carpet to make sure it was back to its resplendent best for Augusts reopening.

The 1881 section of the pub were their usual boisterous selves, gathered round the giant screen which was showing a re run of Watfords recent World Cup final win against a best of World XI .

Some moaned that they preferred the days before Watford had been banned from the EPL and the Champions League for winning it too often and too easily, and consequently only allowed to play in the World Cup , just to to make it fair on the Reals, Barcas and Bayerns of this world. No pleasing some , pondered Harrow Orn before a rowdy voice broke his thoughts...

" Oi Harrow, the TVs gone on the blink again, sort it out will ya" said Roy

"Ill go up into the loft and adjust the box, wont be long" HarrowOrn replied, as he went outside to climb the roof ladder and access the loft , via the skylight.

The TV flickered back into life but not the football this time. Instead the screen showed what seemed to be a headcam shot of someone running swiftly through a forest accompanied by violent panting, snarling and growling. There was a small GoPro logo in the right hand corner of the screen.

"Harrow you muppet , thats a bleeding horror film not the football" shouted Roy .

"Hold your horses, it ll be fixed soon" replied Harrow, from the loft right above where the 1881 sat below.

The TV picture had now exited the forest and was showing the lights of a pub up ahead. The camera POV then showed a ladder being quickly ascended and a skylight being opened and entered through . Having adjusted to the darker light, the screen now showed the inside of a messy loft and a man holding a screwdriver bent over a SkyBox, whilst cursing some bloke called Roy.

" Blimey the sound's good on this TV" said one of the 1881ers in the bar "its almost like its happening just outside the window"

" Here look, thats Harrow on TV, you never told us you used to be an actor Harrow" they all laughed , as HarrowOrn had always waxed lyrical on how acting was an ignoble profession for layabouts, parasites and pansies.

" He's good though isnt he" said another " he looks proper terrified in this shot "

"Yeah and thats actual sh1t running out the bottom of his trousers, method acting at its best" commented the 1881er known as Stan Islavski.

" Has this TV got smell-o-vision because I can smell that sh1t as if its actually in the room ? Or has Roy just done another fart?" The 1881 guffawed in unison, basking in the warm knowledge that their 'bantz' was the best in all the four professional leagues .

It was true though, HarrowOrn did look truly terrified on the TV screen. The camera jerkily moved in on his gibbering face.

"No no not again please, Im bloody sick of this getting killed malarkey" blubbered HarrowOrn .

The words came clear from the TV, but also as if the voice was emanating from the loft right above the 1881.

Then there was a blood curdling scream so loud that it could only be coming from the loft above.

The 1881 were transfixed to the screen now. In a flash of blur and camera shake , the GoPro fell to the floor as if deliberately dropped, and settled upon Harrow Orns bloodied , lifeless face.

The sound of panting dissipated, followed by the sound of ladder rattle and finally fading footsteps out back towards the forest.

The lads of the 1881 looked around at each other, faces as white as the Reebok Classics on their feet. The silence broken only by dripping blood from the ceiling above.

Nervously, Roy climbed onto a table and pulled hard at the loose ceiling panels from where the blood was dripping .

Down dropped HarrowOrns mutilated corpse, into the room below.

His shirt had been ripped open, and scratched onto his chest in crimson blood were the words...

" ITS SHOWTIME"

The game has started.

On holiday this week but will no doubt be active when the girlfriend is getting ready to go out.

 

Thanks. Neither Opti or BRLR have shown me any mercy. Two absolutely brutal ways to go

 

I am jealous , at work and its absolutely manic , 1 heli due out this week and 3 others incoming with about 500 man hours of work for me .
a couple of sangrias would go down a treat about now .

I agree, in the last game when you were Alpha you kept the game going, in the pre-Christmas game I think that the wolf didn't post for the first two days.

 

Unless this is the wolf and we re waiting for seer no ?
