We saw Boro's (injured) wild man Jamie Pollock having a beer in the Red Lion about 20 minutes before kick off. Someone asked him if he was playing

 

Unless anything major happens under the Pozzos, Luther can be the only candidate. Surprised there isn't any homage to him at the Vic already.

Given that 2/3 of Pozzo signings haven't actually played for us, maybe a statue to The Unknown Player would be appropriate.

If we could afford it, I'd like to build a stadium on the outskirts of L*t*n, just to prove we can, and then just leave it there, unused.

A pet peeve of mine is that football history is almost always restricted to living memory and those from the early era of the game are almost totally forgotten. I'd like to see a homage to the distant past with some acknowledgement for John Goodall.

I think in the past it was often those from way back that were honoured.. portraits of founder members in the boardroom type thing. I think these days people prefer it to be people in living memory. There should be room for both of course.

 

The minor mystery regarding the scaffolding around the north east corner hospitality area has now been solved - Diana Holebas (presumably Jose's other half) posted this picture on Twitter:
