Virtually every managerial vacancy that has come up in the last few years Giggs has been linked to, and now the Welsh have given him the job of mamaging their national football team.

    WHY?

The guy has only been a caretaker manager for a few days, and that is the sum of his managerial experience, and despite his attempts to gag the press plus he has been publically exposed as a sleaze bag, sleeping with his own brothers wife amongst other things.

He should not be considered as a reputable role model for a Sunday League side, let alone a National team for that reason alone. As for his managerial qualifications, what qualifications is all I can say

My thoughts exactly. Considers himself entitled to a Premier League job just because he was a fantastic player. The days of players being able to walk into a top flight managerial job are long gone. Football clubs are businesses now and clubs will do their best to get the rightly qualified and the best fit for the role. Giggs is not that. Wales will struggle I feel - it's not often I agree with TV pundits but Shearer has it right when he said he'll struggle to get the best players together to train/play friendlies as Giggs didn't play a friendly in his entire career for Wales. You can't demand your players do what you always used to bail on, that doesn't command respect or team morale.

I agree he has little coaching pedigree to justify this appointment.
It happens a great deal in tennis that players,if they have been of a half decent level, adopt the Beckenbauer stance and just ask for the certificates and expect to be fast tracked into an elite post.
He would do well to follow Craig Bellamy's route and work his way up but it appears his ego is too large for this.

I'd argue that at international level you don't need to be a coach. You're nto coaching the players as such, the clubs do that.
An international manager just picks the team and formation according to the opponents.
In my opinion it's a very different job to a club manager. There's many very good club managers that were not good International managers.

That begin said it's Wales. Pick Bale if fit and some others and lose. Makes no odds who is in charge.

Agree with Meister. Think he is potentially a better fit for an international job than a club one (certainly at top level).

Slightly harsh on Wales there since they got further than England at the last Euros.
