I’d quite like the option of being able to watch matches via a stream for say the first 6 months of the season. My father in law is a Swansea fan and rather than have a refund on the remainder of his season ticket for 19/20, opted for a pass which enabled him to watch the matches online. The play off semi final wasn’t included.

I think that after project restart they should have stopped televising games and kept the results secret.

Would have spared us the pain of relegation, and in September 2022 we all get the fun of finding out what Division we're in and who won the league.

No need to worry about tinpot one camera streams or highlights on channel 27 then either.

    AND ITS LIVE!!!!

Oh wait, no it’s not. We’re down. In which case, yeah I guess I should. At least on the upside the BO shouldn’t be as bad as normal.

Season ticket holder who has always bought and attended league cup early rounds, not received any further information about credit and/or what to do with Covid games and not received a questionnaire/ballot paper for next seasons ticket. Sounds like a shambles to me.......remind you of anything else this year?

I don’t get the away fans thing at all, unless we are going to ban home supporters who live more than 25 miles from the ground too. For me though the biggest reason not to go is the inability to combine your ballot with friends and family fans so you can sit with them, even though socially distanced. Frankly it ain’t going to work. I suppose though the 5,000 Tickets at £30 will bring in more more money than a TV subscription for every game. They won’t offer discounts. If the can sell £150,000 of tickets for 40 games that’s £6 million. Enough to pay the ground running costs.

Most home fans will live within an hour of the ground you'd think.

Would we really want, say, Blackburn fans at the moment?

I think not, looking at the number of cases there.

  14. 40 games? We only play half at home...

I think the reason most would be against away fans is not the fear of increased transmission of the virus, but more that they would be taking away the opportunity for more home fans to attend while numbers were limited.

The only reason I'll go to Vicarage Road this year is to loudly abuse the shower of sh1t that performed so abjectly during the run-in (and most of the season pre-Covid). Hopefully in a quarter full stadium my well considered and passionately delivered points (e.g. "F**k off Mariappa you useless c**t") will reach the players' ears

In terms of atmosphere I think you probably do want a limited number (a few hundred) away fans. In terms of spread of a deadly virus, until you have a vaccine rolled out and established it would be a very bad idea to transport lots of people around the country from areas that could unknowingly be hot spots. I think you therefore have to rule out away fans for the next season.

the government may wish to state that those shielding or over a certain age don't come.

You then spread fans out so youre probably talking a capacity of 2-3000 for our ground safely and stagger entry, do the usual things in terms of asking people about history of covid and contact on entry, collect details fastidiously, they wear masks, no food or drink, you don't admit those who appear intoxicated. The stands are easily spray decontaminated after the game and people would be encouraged to go to their seat and stay in it for the duration.

That being said you can fill your capacity with season ticket holders easily. So you ask season ticket holders if there are any games they cant attend and then randomly divide the provision up equally. back of an envelope that's 5 games each

FA cup and league cup id advocate it goes to ballot to give others a chance to attend, some of us live hundreds of miles away, at least in early stages.

Dunno how it'll be implemented, but doesn't it kind of defeat the point of not allowing away fans if fans coming from further afield can go to cup games?

It's tricky isn't it. As always its a balance. You might have the nightmare scenario of a home fan coming from Stockport and infecting potentially thousands.
On the other hand I think away fans by their nature may not act as sensibly as home fans, they may bunch together at the ground, drink on coaches etc etc.

I don't think there is a correct answer. There are safer ones and less safe ones and unintended consequences.

So you say no to away fans, but then say you live 100miles away, but want to be in the ballot for some games?
