The problem if Pozzo were to go is that I could see him hiving off all decent prospects to Udinese. We’d be left with utter unsellable garbage and loads of debts. Prodl will still be leeching in the reserves. Cathcart, Success and Dawson on their 4 year contracts. Ken Sema will become our star turn and Deeney will chug around remaining the main man.

Best to keep Pozzo and keep some prospects imo.

Watford fans who don't want the pozzos out need to wake up.

I enjoyed being a Watford fan under Baz far more than this current shower, with whom I have no means of identifying. For the first time in my life I hate nearly all the players. Thats on Gino and his policies.

More or less every club has debt. And that debt needs serviced when a club goes down. It doesn’t make the club hugely less valuable though. Certainly not to the point where it’s affordable to a ‘complete chancer’ as you alluded to.

I have to admit my faith in the Pozzos is wavering, but overall they have been fantastic for our club and I will be eternally grateful for what they have done so far.

However, they need to make some big positive decisions in the January window, otherwise the best thing they could probably do for the club is sell us to someone who will :(

I did think at the time (a) who broke the story and (b) who were these Investors. We never got to know (a) but (b) were Proflic Media Inc fronting these investors-here is a link to their website https://prolificmedia.co/

Nothing there to indicate any credibility in owning a football club and of course the deal didn't happen so whether the club was worth £375m or £50m we will never know.

However KPMG published a report on the value of top European clubs last year-West Ham were there as one of the top 9 PL clubs. Their value was c £480m. A number of factors -attendance/capacity/brand value/revenue/profits etc were used.

    I have created my own comparison on revenue and profits alone between West Ham and us based on published accounts (with the split of where the income is derived in arriving at a total) is as follows;

    WHU WFC
    TV 118 108
    Match 24 8
    Comm 32 11
    Total 174 127
    Profit/
    loss +34 -30

West ham make a profit (£34m) without player trading and have a 60,000 capacity stadium. We have a third the size of that and can only make a profit if we find, develop and sell players for much more than they cost us whether they ever play for us or not. Without that we make a loss -£30m last year

If finding those players relies upon the Pozzo model-scouting network, training facilities etc what would an external investor pay for that.

I know you are only reporting what we all read just over a year ago but at the time i thought blimey thats a very large figure being bandied about for a club that doesn't make a profit and has arguably limited growth and brand potential.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to revisit this article and our club value which IMHO looked very suspect and given our current plight ought not be used as a form of benchmark for what the club might be worth.

    PS
Sunderland was sold for £37m last year but the new owners used £32m of parachute money to pay for it. The previous owner left the club debt free so they could buy it as it had running costs etc.

    Worst season ever....hahahahaha!
It's obvious you're just on the wind-up, but in case anybody thinks you're being serious:

being utterly p155ed off by how the current regime has totally farked up this season whilst being aware it is still nowhere near the "worst season ever" do not equate to "happy clapping".
Although it seems anything other than simple binary options is beyond an increasing number of posters.

Mooy, fantastic tonight. On. A. Loan.

Neal Maupay with his fifth league goal of the season already, proving there's value in The Championship.

Oh Adam Webster with another goal from CB, again proving there's value in The Championship.

Graham Potter a young manager, a dynamic, exciting appointment from The Championship.

Add Brighton to the list of clubs with smarter owners than us.

    Pozzo's have had a mare.

Brighton splashed a reported £20m on Webster and Maupay. Both proving great additions.

Webster will go on to a top 6 team for a large sum I think making profit for the Brighton owners.

Maupay will repay his price tag from the goals he will get. Again Brighton owners making a profit.

It could of easily gone the other way but I heard that the Brighton owner likes to gamble this paying off massive.

But for sure there’s great players in the lower leagues but the Pozzo’s would rather gamble on foreigners with half the price tag making more profit in the long run and it not being such a big gamble if the player flops.

I don’t know who does giraldis job at Brighton but it all goes full circle back at that numb **** with us. It’s Giraldi that needs to go not the Pozzo’s

Which managers currently plying there trades in lower leagues do people think Pozzo should go for? Lee Johnson is the obvious one, but doubt it's realistic. Who else?

I really rate Danny Cowley at Huddersfield, did a fantastic job with Lincoln. He took over Huddersfield when they had just 1 point from their first 6 games and now they're flying up the table - he'll definitely manage in the PL at some point.

Struber at Barnsley is one to watch as well (although he's only been there a fortnight - but had Wolfsberger playing some great football)

I've resisted the Pozzo Out mentality as you know...look how far we've come....however if Pearson gets appointed and Giraldi keeps his job, then it's time for Gino to sell up.

You should judge your owners by how canny they are & how capable they are at digging you out the mire when that time comes. We have now reached that point so all judgements reserved until end of the season.

Any Muppet who calls for them to go now is strictly in the category of barmy army or over 15,000+ posts. Most likely a combination of both.

    Oh look Kieran's back.

His most notable achievement in life was to win the Last Man Standing competition and he'll tell you all about it.

Yes judge the owners when a head coach is crying out for defensive reinforcements and he gets an aging centre back and a £30m winger, then wonders why we have one of the worst defensive records in the country. Then sack that coach and hire a coach they've sacked before then sack him 85 days later.

But by all means, we're the muppets.

Another one of those millennial cyber dorks came out the woodwork like I suspected they would & dare to say I even called the profile correctly. Next I will no doubt get a GIF of a clapping seal or something.

You think you can snap your fingers & have new replacement owners in place just like that, let alone proven capable owners. Living in a cloud cuckoo land.

All I was saying was support the owners at this time. It's not like you have a better logical option?

You yourself supported QSF at the start & saw the logic of the appointment. Now with the hindsight, it's all too easy for you to get on your keyboard & berate the owners.

I was indifferent to his appointment, I'd give him a chance - Arsenal was a false dawn and we have gone backwards.

As I said, we lost a cup final 6-0, we conceded 8 goals to Liverpool, anyone could see we needed major surgery on the defence and the answer was Craig Dawson.

Your attitude is 'well we bought in Dawson - good job Gino' - my attitude 'we need full backs desperately and a CB with some pace and organisation nouse' - who's right?

Complete nonsense. Who ever said they are infallible? No one here has. There is a difference between supporting them in the hope they can right those wrong decisions. All owners will make mistakes at some point.

My question to you is why turn on them so quickly & want them out. Where is the logic in that? You think they want to lose PL status & all the financials that go with it. None of it is your money so you don't think like that.
