Anyone else wondered what Pereyra’s goal celebration is all about? I think I’ve worked it out.

When I first saw it I thought it was a reference to Pac-man (what with us playing in yellow) but last week my wife showed me this video and thought it could be reference to that.

Whilst we are talking about Pereyra, I think I've worked out his celebration.

It's something to do with Daddy Pig from Peppa Pig. Apparently that was the way the character sarcastically clapped the judge in the episode where he was found guilty of bigamy.

 

I'd heard that relationship was bac on, butty let's not jump to any rasher conclusions.

Please please please let the rookery sing this in honour of pereyra when he scores his next goal. It would sound awesome out loud. Annoying but catchy

OMG isn’t that just the cutest thing ever? No. I have children and get exposed to a lot of irritating faeces but this is *ber horrifically irritating.

I appreciate this thread because I hadn’t seen other updates and always assumed logically it was something to do with a crocodile.

If we're going to do it, got to go the whole hog and do the arm actions, including reversing the direction of the shark after every line. Imagine how cool the Rookery would look all doing the shark move in unison. It could be our own unique, totally non-cringeworthy terrace chant. Maybe we could do this on afternoon games and all hold our phone lights up in evening games whilst we sing Foster's Coming Home?
