ESPN have reported that us and muff are interested in 21 year-old winger/striker Ollie Watkins from Brentford. Brentford paid a measly £1.9 million for Watkins from Exeter City in a season in which he registered a combined 26 assists and goals; subsequently winning the EFL young player of the year. The Brentford man has scored 8 goals and 2 assists this season in the Championship this year. With us acquiring Andy Scott from Brentford, there could be some truth in this story. Keep an eye out in January

I am not sure that what we need - more goals from strikers yes but I think we have quite a pacey attack and we can be quite creative from a number of positions. Then again I might be comparing Richarlison to what we have had out wide in previous seasons... Richarlison with chains on his feet would probably be quicker than Amrabat or Juarado!
Ollie Watkins is very highly touted and Brentford don't let players go for cheap. Would cost a fair wedge i'd think.
I read these reports through newsnow and it seemed that there was some report that he would be most suited to play for bournemuff or us. There was nothing about any actual interest or basis for a rumour. Seemed a bizarre and pointless rumour.
Bet we still owe them some payments on that £16m that some people wanted us to spend on Scott Hogan. Brentford have us over a barrel here. FFS Gino.
