Might I recommend 'Reading Greek,Grammar and Exercises' from the Joint Association Of Classical Teachers' Greek Course?
This may calm you down for an hour or two and then you can get really frantic again with its companion 'Text and Vocabulary'!
    Or a straightjacket?!

We should be ambitious enough to go in for players like this guy if we want to make progress as a club.

  6. Does it? I never read it like that.

It’s fairly obvious to see though that Giroud will go nowhere whilst there is uncertainty about Alexis Sanchez in January. Especially given that Walcott seems nailed on to be the striker they let go. Giroud would only go somewhere he will get noticed by the France manager as well for the WC. I doubt that’s Watford.

    Au contraire!

WFC is exactly the type of club he would stand out at, as he would be a sure fire starter, and if he continued to knock in the goals anywhere near as frequently that he manages to do at Arsenal, where he is only a bit part player, he would certainly grab the headlines!

Giroud would be a terrible idea. Overpaid and over the hill. And a stupid beard.

    No, nay, never.

We should be going for Sanchez as well. About time we showed some ambition IMO!

Think about all the headlines he would get playing in front of less than 20,000 people every week for one of the least fashionable sides in the league and getting a fraction of the wages he could get elsewhere!!1! Some say that footballers care about playing at the highest level possible whilst earning as much money as they possibly can, especially when they're approaching the end of their career and have already proved themselves as top players capable of playing at Champions League and international level, but what do they know?! :):p

Once Aubamayang goes to Arsenal as seems certain, apparently Arsenal will let Giroud go for £28m-£30m. I know it’s unlikely and we’d be well down the pecking order...and he may very well say no. But IF we can get £20m for Deeney (who is on 100k a week - reportedly) then paying similar wages and finding an extra £10m shouldn’t be a stretch?!

Put an offer in and see how it plays out.

Scores a goal every other game or so for Arsenal? Would be a great signing, never gonna happen. Probably will go to Chelsea?

We won't get £20m for TD and a slice of the £16m we would probably get goes to Walsall.
Never ever ever ever ever ever ever going to happen. He is far too good to drop to our level straight from the arse.

If he comes here I want him rebranded as ‘Olivier’ as if he is from Brazil and the beard trimmed.

Nonsense, I say. I won't have it. Two players spring to mind. Stephen Hughes and Pat Rice took a step up by leaving the arse to advance their careers with the mighty WFC.

    Rice was 137
Hughes was a failure at arsenal, then a failure at everton, before we scraped him off the floor and gave him some ridiculous package.

Giroud would be well suited with Richie and Carrillo and Holebas bringing in the crosses, it's a yes from me, but he will probably go to Stoke or Wet Spam

If Giroud was looking for a loan to get the games in - We might be in with a shout - But if he was to go permanently, he would be looking at bigger and better than us i would think. Even so a four month loan would be worth busting the bank to make it happen. would be a monster sign of intent.

I would love him to join but i can't see it happening. The advantage we have is being close by so no relocation/travel involved. The downside is we are small, unfashionable, in freefall and in constant state of flux off the pitch. Clubs would be queuing up, not just in the UK, and in that scenario, few players pick watford,

Much more likely to get one of their young players on loan. No rumours on that front though.

Actually if he came to us on loan, as I doubt he would come to us permentaly, we could be the ideal club for him to show his worth at, providing he sparked a revival in our fortunes and started banging the goals in, which is something I think he is very capable of doing.

Even we have to pay his massive wages in full and pay a substantial loan fee, I really think he could turn our season around, and most importantly keep us in the PL.

Classic Arsenal. Buy Aubamayang, yet sell Giroud, Sanchez and Walcott all to teams that should be in and around them in the league. Parody of a club.

I should say, my post earlier was never made in a belief that we could get him. More that an attempt could have been made given the finanaces weren’t a stretch away from the Deeney deal that was meant to be happening. Put an offer in, and hope all the other clubs interest falls away type of thing....
