Tell me about it. My Easter holidays are going to be ruined by my Dissertation. Although I WILL be going to the Cardiff game in April, that's for sure.

Hei WFC Finland! I knew I couldn't be the only Watford fan in Finland...thank goodness!:sign15:

Good to see you here, we should meet up sometime!

My background is growing up near Watford and being a season ticket holder for many years(including 82/83! - when i was a junior hornet). My mother is Finnish and I've lived in Finland now for 10 years. I go to at least one game a season nowadays (wow..so many i know!) and follow all the games on wfcplayer. My bro lives much nearer to watford than me and is on this forum too.

    Kippis! Hyvä Suomi!

That will be me. Happy that I am not the only Finn around here anymore! (ps. small point - Finns are Finns...not Fins...nor Scandinavians ;)

Hi Hki Horn! Very happy for your post! Wud like to meet u and get friends and travel maybe and see some games over a week or two in the future!. For the moment i am so dissapointed that all three friends said they dont have the chance to go 29.3 match with me. LOndon by myself does feel like too much for me. ALways much more fun to get some friends with you aswell. THIS spring it shud bee done. Also cause work maybe doesnt give possibility for travel in future springs 2014 and forward. Is it possible to communicate via personal messages with you if i for ex visit Hki ? Wud like to meet you. I dont travel domestic so much more, did it a lot specially to Hki when i worked for Elisa Oyj. (telephone company). Had business meetings there once a month. I live in Vaasa,

    Hi all

I've been lurking here for about a year(although I've been playing the daily quiz as Dankel) I have been a Hornet since the mid 70s, saw the early GT period, have never stopped being a fan but drifted away a bit in the 80s and was a season ticket holder from the early 90s until a few years ago.
Don't get to that many games at the moment as I live near Colchester in Essex and my wife works many Saturdays but I am hoping to see more next season and hopefully a game this season.

New member but long time observer! Finally plucked up the courage to get myself registered. I'm a uni student currently based up in Hull (unfortunately), so can only make a handful of games owing to student budgets/travel etc. I've been to a decent few this season and can't wait to qualify so I can afford a season ticket!
Was there for our win over Hull yesterday and am still recovering. I'm sure my Hull friends aren't talking to me now.

    Welcome.

Being from Hull you may want to check out this thread http://www.wfcforums.com/showthread.php?44672-Foreign-orns&p=803019#post803019 to see if there's anyone else near you at all. If you have any questions regarding the local area, then please feel free to message The Voice Of Reason who'll be more than happy to assist you.

Thankyou both. I know Hull is something else but it doesn't count as foreign...yet!
I've never actually lived in Watford, I took after my father but my family had already migrated up to the midlands.

Hi fellow horns I went to my first game in 67 with my dear old dad. 322 from Hemel to Watford, and a walk to ground with a stop in the cafe in Vic rd for tea and toast. Magic days. Have seen highs and lows relegations and promotions. Seen us play away at 71 grounds (some abroad and some now not in the league) one comes to mind HA HA!
    Hornet forever.

Hi I'm AprilFool91. I joined at Christmas but have remained fairly inactive until now. I was a season ticket holder a few years back but am currently studying at the University of Hull campus in Scarborough. I do get to games occasionally but it has been a little difficult this season due to me being on my international year and living in Frankfurt. Deliberately organizing my return to the UK to coincide with the playoff final though!!!

Hi, I've just joined having been reading the posts for a while now. Good Forum.

I have followed the 'Orns since the seventies (when we were simply "The Hornets" and nobody called Vicarage Road "The Vic" ;) ) but have been living "oop north" for over 20 years now. Used to have a season ticket but only get to the occasional match these days. Great to see them doing so well this season and here's hoping for a great VICtory at Wembley.

    Hello everyone.
I tried to think of a username to reflect my passion for Watford FC and as I think the last game I went to was probably against Gillingham in 2002 and my next will be at Wembley on Monday, I'd say it fits.
I did have a season ticket back then though and went to Bristol City away the season we went up as champions.
    Am I welcome? :)

I spotted this forum for the first time last week and have not been able to keep away from it since, so have joined you all. Raised in the Watford area and first became addicted to the Golden Boys during their FA Cup run in the 1959-60 season. I can still remember the starting line up and have yet to see a player able to strike a ball as hard as the memorable Cliff Holton. Now living in Nottinghamshire I am unable to watch the team as often as I would wish, although the main reason for this is my involvement in running a local football team who play on Saturdays. However, I always take the day off when we play Forest which for me is usually the most important league match of the season - how I enjoyed it this year !

I have many special memories of Watford F.C. over the years and despite pressure from my dad and uncles who were ardent Arsenal and Spurs fans to support their clubs when I was young, I have never for one minute regretted being a Watford one instead.

Hello guys, I joined today after reading and looking on the forum for about a month but without ever actually commenting etc. I'm young and live locallyish to Watford, I've only become interested in football in the last 3 to 4 years but I'm now an avid lover of the game and although I don't have a season ticket I've been to about 8 home games and 12 away games this season, and a handful of games last season. I love Watford and I wish I had liked football from when I was even younger.
