no. it's the gabbiadini being grossly mismanaged by a complete and utter clueless dunce of a manager.

 

Obviously yes to this signing. Would be a great addition and just what we need. Having said that I'm not anti Gray or Deeney, they both do ok, when used at the right times.

No whoosh at all, I genuinely think he is a sensational player. I've loved him since he first left italy and was rumoured to come to us. I saw a highlights video of him that impressed me no end (I know these things are pretty meaningless), then I thought he was wonderful when southampton smashed us 4-3 at our place the other year (it was a scoreline that flattered us, albeit in a meaningless game). Plus I've seen him a couple of times on telly when he's also been superb.

The ighalo comparison is good - he's like a much better version and is exactly what we are crying out for: a striker who can create something out of nothing, like ighalo did many times before he turned into dog faeces.

I know he's dropped now, but the southampton fans still think he's ace and blame the manager for his demise. I have not had a chance to chat to them about it though as they dont seem to allow new posters to register on their forum....

Hand on heart, I believe that if we signed him in Jan we would qualify for Europe. If we'd signed him in the summer instead of Gray we'd be in the champions league places now. I am as serious as cancer.

 

I can't quite share RC's hysteria for Gabbiadini but do think he is a good player.
He also looks like a 'Jack' in a pack of cards I always think!

We should be in the hunt for this guy, we are PL afterall, so should be in the market for players of his ability.

 

I’ve never understood why he doesn’t play more regularly, especially as Morratta seems to have contracted andregreyitus recently. He would be a phenomenal loan signing and guarantee us survival and possibly a lot more.

 

Phenomenal is a strong word to use. And the only way he would come close to guaranteeing our safety is if he happens to also be a top-drawer defender.

 

I don't know why it winds me up so much when people always assume that the 3rd/4th striker at a top club is better than they actually are

Its not excessively hard to score a goal every 80 minutes when you only play in the league cup / dead rubber European fixtures / home games against relegation fodder... all whilst playing as the focal point of an attack, which is being supplied by the likes of Hazard, Fabregas, Pedro, Willian etc.

To be fair, I’m not sure I’d be throwing around sarcasm so quickly after saying Batshuayi would guarantee us survival and more, just on his own.

 

We’ve got 13 different scorers yet none of our strikers have more than 3 goals, what do you suppose a striker that can actually score goals could do for us then?
