Wobby reporting that the powers that be at Leicester will 'discuss' making an approach for Silva but realise that its likely to fail.

To be fair, there is no link to anything at all in the story so seems like click-bait to me. But if it weren't, I can actually see no reason why he would even consider the move. We are higher up the table, dare I say we have more stable owners in terms of job stability (who'd have thought we could ever claim that!), we have a better squad, and many more reasons.

I dont blame them, he's ace. May as well give it a go.

He will leave us, but it wont be to a tinpot club like that.

He may be tempted by the chance to revive a sleeping giant?

  4. After this season he can pretty much pick his own club

Why would he be interested in tinpot relegation fodder hoof football club like leicester?

    Sam is about their level

I cant see him leaving for anyone other than top 6 and possibly Spam and Everton.

Id be surprised if he wanted to leave until the end of the season as he has spoke about building something at Watford.

Just out of interest , does anyone know about the legal specifics in managerial contracts ? If he did want to leave, are the club allowed to block that . Ive heard they usually have 6 months notice on them with the option to terminate at end of season.

The club are allowed to block, but I'm pretty sure he can buy his way out of his own contract. An unhappy manager who doesn't want to be here isn't going to remain very long.

However, he has little reason to leave. Why jump off a winning horse for a losing one? Seeing out a season and leading us to a top 8 finish would be better for his career than turning around Leicester's fortunes and finishing in the same position, with a lot more risk, without his own squad and with increased pressure.

They could offer him an insanely good contract though, I suppose.

Don’t the clubs normally agree compensation if a manager is half way through a contract? I’m sure a manager can buy himself out, but I’d doubt this ever happens, I’d imagine the new club would be the ones to pay up the remainder of the contract and possibly more.

Anyhow, the only way I’d see him going there is if the money offered was insanely good, even then that may not be enough, he’s got aspirations beyond Leicester anyway so doing something purely for money isn’t necessarily ever going to be the case with Silva.

Not a chance he will go to Leicester. Will probably leave over the Summer if Wenger finally gets the boot. Enjoy him while it lasts!

Would be a good fit for Arsenal however Marizio Sarri is probably the hottest manager not at a top club. Wouldnt be surprised if they went for a higher calibre manager like him.

As someone on the comments section there says, how can the WO know what's going on in the Leicester boardroom when they don't even know what's going on in Watfords?

Good luck in the new position Marco.
It's a shame you couldnt stay longer than 8 games especially as it is unlikely we are going to win the Premiership title now.

    Adiós!

Somebody get Marco’s agent to fill his car up at that Esso garage in Leicester. It’s the only way we’ll ever know what’s really happening.

My sources tell me Silva is only their third choice, behind Guardiola and Mourinho.

I will only rest until we have Souness as our manager, until them I am unhappy with everything. I would accept Tommy Mooney as manager, but only as an interim until Souness runs down his Sky contract and joins us.

It's all media talk, this will never happen. The dressing room at Leicester is totally divided, egos getting in the way of team spirit, Adrien Silva is half a Leicester player, half unemployed. Who knows if the new manager will even want him, feel sorry for the lad.

People like Grey are trying to get in the team but not given a chance even though certain players in his position this year have been woeful.

I could go on but can't remember all the other things I saw from Leicester fans as to why they are in trouble.

Silva won't swap us for that nightmare of a situation.

I can see the likes of Everton snapping up Vardy in January, Mahrez still wants out and I have no doubt he will look for a move in January. Grey is getting ticked off and wants first team football. Iheanacho looks like a flop. Living off his rep from Man City and not really putting a shift in from what I've seen. People say Gray has flopped for us, Iheanacho is definitely more of a flop than Andre Gray and they paid £25mil for him. Makes our £13.5mil (could raise to £18mil, depending on certain targets reached) a bargain.

Silva will never go to Leicester, because Ranieri has already climbed their Everest for them. Whoever comes in for them from now on - they'll never be able to better what he did. To be an "outright" success, they'll have to at least equal his achievement which is incredibly unlikely. Even if you got them a 2nd/3rd place finish and a return to the champions league - you're still second to Claudio.

You could argue that going to any of the "big clubs" - here or abroad, you've got to win titles to not be seen as a failure. The difference is that managing at one of the elite, you'll have a far greater chance of competing for trophies than you will at winning another league championship at Leicester.

Silva can only damage his reputation by going there as Claudio has set (in their eyes) the benchmark.

If you ask me, Isaac's issue was more a pressure to perform than the original Bailey's excuse. Who the hell hires FOUR prostitutes, and what for!? 2 prostitutes I can understand, it's the classic 'threesome' fantasy. But what on earth are you gonna do with 4? Are they operating a tag-in system? Does the one he finishes with earn a higher share? Is there competition to be that one? It's all a frankly tiring thought, and far more stress than it's worth, as Isaac found out to his literal and figurative cost.

The bigger concern for me is that I’m sure I’d read he couldn’t perform because he’d drunk too much Baileys? What sort of individual goes on a Baileys sesh?

We've moved beyond hiring actual managers now. We'll more likely see one of the catering staff or a ball boy in charge. Promoting from within, it's all the rage.
