I agree, we can't start playing the kids or we might start losing and then were will we be?

 

The thing is we can't afford to play kids cause its a gamble but if there is a player that can improve us now then why not?

 

As I see it, the situation is this:

We need 3/4 quality players to come into the squad. Not just players for players sake - actual first teamers. No more Zeegelaars. That is going to cost Gino £40m+...but that is just part of it. We need to make space in the squad and can we really see anyone taking any of our players of us save for Deeney. And he is one that I think we need to keep in the current situation.

Gino may well have to pay money without getting any back until the summer. And pay wages to people who won’t make the final 25 man squad too. I’m not so sure he will be willing to do that, even if he can.

For instance:
Dendoncker - £20m+
Gaitan - Wages
Plus new CB, FB, CF

That is a huge outlay to make in the winter window with potentially nothing coming in.

I’m preparing for disappointment.

Also we play Stoke on the day the window closes - which is must win (or at least not lose) what kind of team can we expect to put out of make no signings before then and do have interest in 2/3 fringe players???

What an almighty mess that could be.

 

And we have to keep them from being dragged down by the rest and injury free.

 

So we are re-signing Richard Lee and getting a free double-decker to boot ? It's a yes from me.

Plus anyone we sign must be completed by noon tomorrow to play at Stoke. Most of the more experienced or better under 23s have already left on fresh loans to EFL clubs. There is also talk of Success going to Malaga on loan. So Gracia will be scrapping the barrel to get a fit 18 man squad together. If Gomes, Cleverly and Deeney still unavailable the chances of getting anything out of the Stoke game are looking remote unless we regain some early season form.

 

I like to think there is actually a chance we're in for him, but I'm starting to believe Ndong just got lost in translation.
