Interesting that so many are predicting Championship outcomes rather than PL. Are we hankering after our roots, taking the someone out the jungle and all that?
I'm guessing that as you cannot choose the same team again that most will avoid Arsenal or Chelsea until a bit later in the competition as a banker. I choose Blackburn as they play Rotherham who are really bad this year.
In the last few weeks there have been plenty of upsets in the Prem, us at Arsenal being the prime example, Swansea beating Liverpool, Tottenham's 0-0 at Sunderland. I think many are waiting for that to settle down a bit.
Updated to here: Don't forget my "suggestion" that you place £1 on your team this week and if you win carry it over to your next pick. Entirely your choice of course.
I see your point but there won't be many games where Blackburn will be the better team on paper, so I'm using it now. They'll probably get stuffed 5-0 now.
So far we have 30 entries, using 14 teams. A multiple on all 14 teams to win gives odds of 3700/1, which I've put £1 on. The reality is half of us will be out by the time the weekend is over.
The reality is half of you will be out by the time the weekend is over. Me, I am already picking my team for next week.
As I understand the rules are your team must be chosen before their game kicks off so I assume I am OK to enter Swansea for this week?
For anyone who hasn't entered yet and would like to play week 1, you still have the following games available: Burnley v Chelsea Swansea v Leicester Bournemouth v Man City
Week 1 ends with just 7 leaving the contest, which is a surprise in itself. This weekend is FA Cup weekend so you can spend the weekend studying form for the following weeks fixtures. Players left and amount you would have won so far with a £1 bet on your selection.
