Johnny Todd he took a notion For to sail the ocean wide. There he left his true love waiting Weeping on the Liverpool side. For a week she wept full sorely, Tore her hair and wrung her hands Till she met with another sailor Walking on the Liverpool sands. O fair maid why are you weeping For your Johnny gone to sea? If you'll wed with me tomorrow I will kind and constant be. I will buy you sheets and blankets, I'll buy you a wedding ring. You shall have a gilded cradle For to rock you baby in. Johnny Todd came home from sailing, Far across the ocean wide, There he found that his fair and false one Was another sailor's bride. So, all you lads who go a-sailing For to fight the foreign foe. Never leave your true love like Johnny, Marry her before you go!
I'm surprised we allowed this to happen. This is nearly as annoying as the Silva debacle in terms of a "bigger club/nation" just snatching whatever player or staff member they want without much confrontation. I don't know if he's any good, but to have your head turned around within a month a long with fellow staff members at the same club is pathetic
It's the Pozzo model. Gino saw an opportunity to sign up all Enrique's mates while he was on dole, knowing when he got a new gig we'd coin it from the compensation payment. Huzzah!
In bold are Mr Anison's preferred Holywell Juniors class of 77 lyrics as best I can remember them. Must have been quite a voodbye if she ended up sore for a week. Sailors, eh!
To a point I agree but he hasn’t even been here long enough for there to be any real damage done I suspect. And as much as I see what you’re saying, it’s his national side - would be near impossible to stand in his way and deny that opportunity.
You say that, but Gracia has lost half his support staff in a month - assistant coaches and tactical analysts are a key part of a team's success. People of this calibre won't be easy to replace.
Exactly. Plus, particularly with the new bloke, you'd think a year of exposure to the Premier League as a lead analyst would be better for his development in the long run than a season spent doing work for his country in a non-competition year.
Gracia must be wondering how many times he has crossed the path of black cats by accident. Guess he shouldn't have gone to Sunderland.
His twitter would suggest he has not left us. Still has us in his bio and has uploaded a picture of two kids (presumably his) on the GT statue/bench Sent from my G3311 using Tapatalk
Didn't know he taught at Holywell before Little Green in the eighties. Always remember him liking his sing songs. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
But one of the Tweets below is a leaving statement from him about joining Barca. Strange but maybe typical of the PR at the club sometimes!
I was wondering about this when Gracia was talking after the Sampdoria game about how our lineup and style vs Brighton "will be different [because] they are another team, with another shape, and another style of play"... at the time just I assumed that Ramon had at least been kind enough to leave us his notes on our next opponent before deciding to bu55er off. Maybe the Spain role is only a part-time one which he can juggle with ours? Doing tactical analysis for international fixtures should in theory be less work as there are fewer of them and they don't happen at the same time as top-level club matches.
I think this is probably correct. Austin Macphee is Northern Ireland's highly rated 'tactics man' and he works for Hearts throughout the season as well. Sent from my G3311 using Tapatalk
This guy is definitely still at Watford. He posted on Twitter about how the fans being happy after the Burnley win is the 'best reward' for all their week's work. Looks like the reports linking him to Spain were fake news.
