Stoke want to replace him with another British manager..

    Missed the boat with Pulis!

We were the last team who failed to score against them too. All those weeks ago.

Well, three and a half weeks. But yes, their new manager’s third game at most.

    Typical.

On a positive note, I often struggled to distinguish between ‘Mark Hughes’ & ‘Markuse’, the Marxist scholar, especially when said in a Welsh accent.

    Invariable conversational turmoil.

A small boon for me & possibly Clive otK.

Marcuse, I think you will find.

Couldn’t do it on a wet Tuesday evening in San Diego.

Mark Hughes has a gaff in Belgravia just round the corner from Gino. Just saying...

Probably the same person. Have you ever seen them together?

Herbert Marcuse died in July 1979 in Germany.

Mark Hughes started his Manchester United career in the summer of 1980.

    Coincidence? I think not.

I think He’ll be a good chioce for them. Media like him. It’s only because the players decided to down tools that our fans dislike him and I think that rotten core still exist at our club

In hindsight virtually everyone would have preferred to have kept QSF for another year rather than endure Mazzarri.

He certainly got good mileage out of that jacket, scarf and trainers combo he used to wear though.

I'd like to think so but I didn't think Roy or Moyes would galvanise Palace and West Ham as they have.
Best not to count on it.

As soon as he was appointed, he was a sack waiting to happen.

I think the person who started this thread was well aware that many of us would think the same as you did RD. I have to admit it crossed my mind and I expect the mind of many others as well.

    Fair play.

In that initial quick scan of the forum, you see ‘Hughes’.

Happily, my immediate association is not with Mark Hughes.

When the thread was revived I thought Hughes had been sacked by Southampton as well! No such luck Saints fans.

I reckon Mark Hughes has done very well with the Saints. Of the various 'dinosaurs' I rate him as one of the best.

In particular, his controlled rage following the appalling 90+6 minute 'so called goal' conceded at Goodison and the 'Welsh hotel fiasco', then the unbridled joy and passion following the victory at Swansea was commendable.

I like the cut of his jib.
