[RUMOUR] Gregoire Defrel

Scored 1 in 3 in Serie A for Sassudo. The few times I saw him play for Roma, he seemed to be playing wide, but looked good.

 

I agree that he is technically good but his goal scoring record is dog average. For that money I would expect more. The EPL is a tough environment with generally less space and plenty of defensive blocks so we need someone who brings that little bit extra to the party.

Not sure mate, but doubt it’ll help up with our ultimate goal - to sign Jake Livermore.

 

Every goal he scores knocks £500k off the fee we'll have to pay to complete the Talisca signing in January, so this is a positive for us.

Will Gino finally get his man?!

 

Even though he’s listed as a central forward, he’s more of a playmaker. Hence the low volume of goals. But he’s fast and is hardworking. This would not be the worst addition in the world and would be an upgrade on what we’ve got this season.

He can also play as a left-footed right winger, which could be handy as it would mean we can ditch Ince who is crap and out of favour.

 

Could be a useful addition, got the experience of playing at a high level which is probably what we need with quite a few young, raw attackers who need a bit more polish. Definitely the sort of profile I think we should be looking at

 

Genuinely forgot Ince was still with us.

It would be nice to have an attacking option with some proper pace. We did seem very one-paced in our attacking play yesterday, with only Andrews really capable of outrunning anybody.

 

As was the case with Ashley Fletcher, when Pozzo wants someone he'll wait years to get them, even if they're total sh!te.
