Young Greek goalie from Panathinaikos has signed a two-year contract with the Under-18s. Impressed in a tournament we took part in last year and has trained with us twice since. http://www.football-academies.gr/ap...nos-giannis-sourdis-ypografi-dietes-symvoleo/
Wow how have we managed to pull this signing off. Look no further, this is our marquee signing of the summer. Well done Dux.
Anyone know what happened to the young Israeli keeper Haviv Ohayon we signed on loan last season with an option to buy at the end of this month? He didn't seem to feature at all for the underage teams. Here's to hoping Giannis has a better time of it, seems like the Pozzos have a knack of finding promising young keepers if Udinese are anything to go by.
Wouldn't say its confirmed but on FM January transfer update he was no longer in the team, FM are pretty spot on with this sort of thing so I'd think its safe to say he returned to his parent club.
Can someone remind me of the rules? If we sign an 18 year old and loan him to a club outside the UK does he still count as home grown because he is registered to us?
As my South African woodwork teacher would say.... "Don't breath in the sourdis 'cos you'll have a tough time breathin' when you're oldah!"
I don't believe so. They have to in the country for home grown nation and at the club for home grown club.
This my understanding too, Arsenal in a recent window blocked a players move abroad because they needed him to remain in England to gain HG status.
Has joined Udinese... http://www.udineseblog.it/articolo/...ovo_giovane_talento_per_la_Primavera/8/221408
Hopefully this will satisfy their fans and stop them moaning about us getting all the benefits of the partnership.
As long they don't take Zeegelaar I will forgive them. That's ZEEGELAAR our excellent left back. Really hope they don't take him too. ZEEGELAAR that is.....
