DAY 7 - Werewolf 2018

The villagers had pre-arranged to meet in the village square at 9am. Four of them arrived at more or less the same time, but they waited for With A Smile. After 10 minutes had passed since the agreed time, the remaining villagers went over to With a Smile's house. They found that the front door had been shreded off of its hinges.

They went in with miked2006 leading the way, still holding the silver sword. They found With a Smile's mutilated body lying on the floor, there were broken red bottles everywhere, and around his neck was a piece of card with a message saying "From an admirer!"

The quartet were in a sombre mood as they went back in to the square, three of the them knew that today will be their last chance. No one uttered a word.

With a Smile was GOOD

My initial thought was wolfie would be one of the ones who voted for Steve.

Sorry Steve, being so certain the second message was the seer I never even gave consideration to the possibility the first could have been. We know PJ is good now at least.

fact remained we lynched Steve and ignored both messages stating you and PJ were good .
Fact is ,with WAS gone the wolf could be any of us .
when I have time I will revisit messages and votes from day 3 on .

 

I'm basing it on the fact Steve repeatedly said he thought the first message was from the seer. He would know.

Oh you meant why I was certain the second message was from the seer? Yeah, of course that was based on me being good.

 

I won't be voting late tonight, I was up till gone midnight last night involved in the events here.

I think the logic was correct however, as I still don’t think that the wolf was named in either message.

The reason I thought the first message was from the wolf was because the second message looked like it was from Norway, who I thought was good.

We now know this wasn’t the case. So the question is whether the wolf message was written by Norway, or whether it’s somebody trying to frame him.

 

Norway was good on Days 1 and 2, that's not in dispute.

But yep, that's the bottom line. Norway is the wolf or you tried to frame him.

We know that someone was given a potion. It was me, him or you. I don’t think it’s you based on how you played yesterday.

I know I’m not evil. I think I wouldn’t have been as good a choice for a potion to make me evil at that stage, as my status wasn’t confirmed.

The wolves knew each other, and I voted for Squibba first. I think no wolf would have done that.

 

Well, to be fair you only voted first cos you were about to board your plane, presumably it was then or never.

 

And it wasn't the potion that changed anyone, it was the blood letting thing.

 

But why for the only wolf. Why only give reasons to vote for the wolf, and then vote for them first?

It makes no sense if I knew who the other wolf was.

Afternoon, like yesterday only got about an hour so so as I have to vote one way or another. If I'd known Steve was Very Good I'd rather have been lynched than him. Wish I had more time yesterday to give it more thought.

 

Istill think our last wolf is one of the ones who voted for Steve an experienced wolf (not me ) would have probably left alone the PJ/PO conundrum and targeted me or Steve ,obviously he thought Steve to be the more likely Seer , I really would like more time to look into this theory but as stated above I am snowed under ( typing this whilst scoffing a sarnie ) I know it sounds suss but it happens to be true.

 

That's a fair point. I began the day with a host of reasons why Squibba could be evil.

I've never been an Alpha wolf, just the Beta (and on my first game at that, where I had no real clue what I was doing). Squibba was already a liability for evil and it wouldn't be a massive choice for his apprentice to be active in killing him off telling the rest of the village 'look what I just did...got rid of your wolf'.

 

An hour is fine PJ, it's as late as I want to be tonight. We are all here, it shouldn't need any longer

To be fair Mike is hardly going to hold his hands up a nd say yep I framed Norway .
One of the reasons I thought PO wasnt the wolf was he has posted heaps and been very vocal
as have I .

 

PO and PJ are good Mike is the only one who hasnt been viewed who no one knows about I am inclined to go with Mike

 

Better to just abstain if you have no other input. You are good, that much is known, but it's about Team Good, not you.

 

I'm inclined to think the message clearing PO was from the Seer, leaving me and Mike as unconfirmed. Because I know I'm Good I'm leaning towards Mike.

 

We know the second message was from the wolf. I think you tried to change your style to sound less like yourself ‘august’, without realising your spaces after commas give you away:

I thought you were good yesterday, and thought the second message was from you but that you were good. I was wrong.

I also now think you’re the most likely to have been made evil. Who better than someone confirmed good? It’s exactly what I would have done.

 

We know the first message was from the seer. It was Steve.

He wouldn’t have copied Norway’s style as a seer, as it wouldn’t benefit him.

Steve (very good) also insisted that the first message was from the seer. He would know.

The message above in italics is from the wolf.

 

No matter the outcome....one of Norway and Mike are on Team Evil and they have played excellently. If ever I am a wolf in the future this will be the game I get my lessons from.

 

OK gents, I think that there is isn't much more to say from anyone now. In twenty minutes I will close the thread for chat but allow further time to place your votes.

Similar to Lord Sugar stating that he's heard enough at the end of each Apprentice episode. It's time to make a decision.

 

Maybe its what an experienced wolf (like yourself) would have done , I hate to say it Mike I havent written any messages kinda hard to prove,I know.
That kind of tactics would be above way above me.

See the posts above. The only reason to vote for me is if you think one wolf, who knows the identity of the other wolf, would intentionally lead the village against the other wolf: listing reasons to vote for that wolf and voting for them first.

Tactics of writing a message would be above you? That’s simply not true.

You are the most likely person that team evil would have converted on day 3. You were the only confirmed good.

I feel like I’m a much better player than this usually. I normally have the time to read through posts carefully and go back and make sound analysis.

I haven’t been able to this year. If you vote for me, you’re saying that you think an evil would intentionally vote first for the only other team evil. If you genuinely think this then team good deserve to lose.

I’m going for Norway. He is the most likely to have written yesterday’s message and the most likely to have been turned evil. I hope I’m right.
