The villagers stood around the bar, a large group of 20 odd. Murmours of several conversations cross mingled. The door opened and in walked a strange face. The jukebox scratched to a halt, pool balls stopped clacking and conversations stopped. Into the wall of silence stepped a confident fresh faced young gent. " Evening gents, the names Ybot, just moved into number 14 with Mrs Ybot and the 3 little Ybottys. Pleased to meet you all" As he stepped round the circle to shake hands each, villager shuffled nervously and averted his eyes. " I say , what a strange bunch of chaps you all are. The wife said she received a message for me to attend an urgent town meeting in the pub. I love a good chinwag, what's on the agenda" " er we re discussing who to ritually kill tonight" said Diamond "Super" said Ybot , "I love historical enactments, what part shall I play" "We ve got just the part for you, you can play the part of the villager who gets burnt alive by his fellow villagers for being a werewolf" Said Hornetgags " Jolly generous of you chaps to give me the lead part when Im new to the group" " Call it a welcoming present" said a smirking Pozzman "just follow us to the giant fire we ve built in the square, and we can start the reenactment" The villagers tied Ybot onto the top of the pyre just as Mrs Ybot came running down the street waving and shouting something to Ybot the sound of panic in her voice lost on the breeze" " Darling darling" Ybot shouted " these lovely people have let me play the lead part in their historical renanctment. I think we re going to really enjoy living here with these lovely hospitable people" " I say its getting rather hot here, you chaps certainly take these thing seriously dont you" Now the sound of Mrs Ybots voice became clearer, her paniced pleas now audible to all , apart from Ybot whos screams were being drowned out by the cracking of flames licking around his legs. The villagers circled the pyre to stop Mrs Ybots heroic and valiant attempts to save her beloveds life. The glow of the fire lit their faces in a way that made them all look evil. There were some that looked more evil than others she thought. Ybot was GOOD
